I agree. I have seen a doe attack my 70 pound pit bull mix when he got too close to a fawn.
The dog was intimidated by the doe hitting (stomping) on his back and ran away from the fawn and doe.
Came across these 3 orange spots of color parked on a ranch in an otherwise drab landscape while on a drive through Nevada's Ruby Valley yesterday morning.....

While not Federally listed it is an Wisconsin threatened species. When I planted my oak savanna/prairie Echinacea pallida was included in the seed mix. In the four growing seasons since seeding I have only documented about a half dozen that germinated. Hopefully more to come!

It was a lovely day on Flathead Lake yesterday with some friends. We tied up in Lakeside for dinner which was great, and then cruised back up the river around 9pm.
The new outboard is doing well and getting better with each hour. Started at 0.2 hours on it (from the factory in Japan) and now have around 6.2 hours on it.

Reliving my childhood….always enjoyed feeding these critters. They recently returned to my property. Dogs keep em away from the house. That’s my leg and shorts covered in dog hair from bathing my dog…

Chipmunk parking only. lol. It’s a cheap imitation rechargeable night lantern about 18 inches tall. Chipmunks are always on top of it.
A quick phone shot from a couple of weeks ago, when a watery sun broke through the rain clouds (we've had the darkest, wettest autumn, winter spring -and now also summer- since observations began) for a few moments.
Another random one from KLUA. I know nothing about planes, except I cannot wait to get out of them. This one looks nice though.
