Nothing special - JFYI. . This is an OTS Magister 2 x 14 cylinder and seems to be a perfect match for my L3901. Does require 1 x 3/4 reducing bushings at both ends. Expect it will also work on the other L01s. My first experience with a hydraulic top link and I am already spoiled.

Nice! Now I want one for my L2501.
Whats something like that run including rear remotes?
I already have a LP 3rd function for a grapple installed.

I bought a 3” X 26” cyl from Magister to replace a steering cyl on my compactor. Great price, good quality, and 4 yuears later now and it’s outdoors 24/7 and it’s still doing great.

I also bought a cyl for a top link…but chose a pilot/check-valve model to prevent any “drift”. I hope an ordinary cyl does well for you in that service.

But you are absolutely Right…. It’s one of the Best things since sliced bread.

Two things I like about that top link installation are the very tidy plumbing, and the color coding. My solution isn't as elegant but it's invaluable to me to color code anything that connects to the rear remotes.

I've had top-n-tilt on three tractors including the two I currently have and would never be without it. It makes life so much easier whether it's hooking up a Quick Hitch to an implement, adjusting an implement on the fly such as a box blade or land plane, or raising (angling up) an implement when getting on or off a trailer.

Love my hydraulic top link, it makes every implement way more useful. And I really appreciated all the help you gave me to piece together my own valve and rear remotes on my 2502...

It's made by Outback and is available from Amazon and other places. I like it too. The kits I bought came with a 4A and 4B wrap but I haven't used those yet.

Really high tech. Electrical tape from Amazon :D

Dan
I find electrical tape lasts for all of 5 minutes once you get oil on it and pull. I've been using coloured zip ties but find they tend to break after a few years of sunlight - even the "UV protected" ones. I like my spiral hose wrap but have only found it in black.

Mine's a 2 x 8.25 from Surplus Center, I think. It's been bombing around in the shop for so long I forget where it came from. Fits perfect, the length range overlaps the stock manual link perfectly. Did have to grind the tractor end connection width slightly.
No need for fancy colored hose wraps, mines plumbed permanent like!

Look at Outback in the link I posted above. Lots of choices from them and their stuff lasts and lasts.

I've found the same thing.
Black seems to last longest, so I'll use different numbers of zip ties to differentiate.

Only $21 for a set of four. I bought a few sets of these. And it helps to put them on when it's not freezing out. 😂

It’d be a VERY COLD DAY before I’d spend $21 on colored hose-wrap. Colored Electrical tape has worked for me AND Kubota for 20 years now. (hydraulic oil leak complaints about it removing the tape is a non-event/no-brainer for me…. I don’t allow leaks. I fix ‘em.)

(Not directed at anyone in particular…..Recently-popular complaints about Inflation falls on deaf-ears when people have the means to spend money like it’s going out of style.)

YMMV

It varies a lot!!

We all have our own ideas and an internal decision matrix that we use to decide what we'll spend money on. $21 is about the cost of four lattes at take-your-pick-coffee but what do you have to show for that?

I have two tractors with three sets of rear remotes on each, top-n-tilt on each, and have three implements that use rear remotes. The cost of some really nice hose wrap pales in comparison to the cost of two tractors, numerous implements, trailers and so on. Life for me is about quality which means doing things or setting things up in a way that makes me happy. I never underestimate the value of convenience and those hose wraps last indefinitely and make it a lot quicker and easier to change over implements. $100 or so on hose wraps is worth it to me and the cost isn't even a blip on my radar.

$21 for eight wraps is $2.63 per hose .... not a lot of money for a nice solution.

That's in my head and it's easy to remember. They're in vertical stacks of course.

The MX rear remotes as viewed from the rear of the tractor are as follows:

1A, 1B
2A, 2B
3A, 3B

The M rear remotes as viewed from the rear of the tractor are as follows:

3A, 3B
2A, 2B
1A, 1B

Here are the M remotes.

You are moving at light speed compared to me. My top link sat for over a year :D

I noticed the other day that the top link on the M6060 is bending the PTO cover. It's not a huge deal but I might need to modify the cover.
