Our night pasture was close to the house
Let 80 cows out after milking and they often grazed near the house.
Loved the sound of them inhaling/exhaling as they grazed as we sat on the porch near dark….
Sounds foolish, but it’s something I always enjoyed.

Bluebonnets(Texas State Flower) are blooming like crazy, too bad the cows don't eat them, bit of a poisonous legume to them and many other animals.
You can't disturb or pick them on state own property. I plan on mowing most of them before they produce seed pods.

Cut in a rough trail through the brush/woods to get to my deer blind for evening hunts. I never been through this section. I finished the trail, and then started getting some trash that I could see in the woods.
I need to go back in the trail with an electric chainsaw to take care of a few 3 to 4in trees.
Said junk/trash.

When I cut a trail through two acres of very thick brush & trees. I wanted a more discreet evening access to my hunting blind. I encountered another small corral area built back in 1930''s, and I never knew it was in there. Pulled out more trash out too.
I ran into this guy, pretty cool bird. This Trasher bird sounds a lot better than a Mockingbird.

The Coastal farmers have been planting corn like crazy. Probably 10's of thousands of acres already.

Wow - stark difference in our climate. Our guys just apparently finished a very short Maple season.
We don’t typically see corn up that far until early-mid-June. Old saying is “knee-high by the Fourth of July.”
