It looked like one of the oval orings between the valves.

I did dead head both circuits in both directions and if there's a leak, it's a minor one. I'll go down tomorrow with a clean paper towel and wipe under the valve stack to see if there's any weeping.
Oval is pretty much bad news Those passages will not seal without the oring.

Well, it took a while, but you were right, not that that's a surprise. It wasn't a serious leak, just weeping but I hadn't put any real pressure on the hydraulics either.

It's getting to be time to hit the driveway with the box blade and that WILL require some serious hydraulic pressure so I figured I'd better fix it before I needed it.

Of course it was the innermost O-ring between the first remote and the manifold on the tractor so EVERYTHING had to come back apart.

The good news is that I learned a few things about the process the first time so reassembly went much more smoothly. Valve block is back together, all I have to do is reassemble the control linkages and put the wheel back on. That shouldn't take more than the rest of the day...
