Yes, all came from old block. I did do the rebuild. Are all the parts in it come from the old block?
Did you do the rebuild?
Do you still have the old block?Yes, all came from old block. I did do the rebuild.
I have the old block. Reason I replaced the block is because I had a combo of things happen. Started as a cracked head and colant plug coming out on radiator as I was mowing air strip...this cracked the middle cylinder causing melt down...I bought kit to rebuild and resleeve but ended up finding a new block by chance...which was a whole lot more appealing than resleeving/machining the old one. I'm beginning to think your just asking me questions to improve your page status lol...anyhow, I'll take the questions if it may lead to the answer.Do you still have the old block?
And why did you need to replace the block?
Sorry for all the questions, but nothing pops out as a cause yet.
Now that right there is hilarious! Only a newbie would say that.I have the old block. Reason I replaced the block is because I had a combo of things happen. You are a genius! I now remember I over tightened a bolt on the bearing retainer plate (part #90) and broke off one of the hex bolts...there are two of them and one I sheared off but forgot about it in my haste to get it back togeather. Man I tell ya little things like this really come back to bit ya in the ass! I'll report and take a few pics when I get the engine pulled back out of the machine tomorrow. I'm sure this has to be the problem as it makes the only logical sense!ok one more set of pictures
Fuel cam.
Here is what I'm thinking, that this bearing is not in the right position and the fuel cam is hitting the body of the pump and not the roller.

This wear mark makes me think something is off.

Also you can put a post in the Classifieds section and might get a hit there.
well I took a look at the cam from the top and there is very slight movement of the cam from side to side but I don't believe enough to justify that as being the issue. hummm?ok one more set of pictures

I do see that bolt to the right sticking out a bit but I don't think that is causing the issue eitherwell I took a look at the cam from the top and there is very slight movement of the cam from side to side but I don't believe enough to justify that as being the issue. hummm?

I will do that...problem is the old block isn't in my possession currently so I'll have to take a trip to go get it. Curious tho, would a bad injector cause the pump to crack like this? It seemed to run on all 3 cylinders but above 70% power is when catastrophic failure happened. Idk I'm grasping at straws here.Pull the shims and put a straight edge across the block and measure from the top of the bearing to the bottom of the straight edge and try and get a good measurement.
The do the same from the old block.
