Hi all,

I am hoping to weld one up this spring for my 8200. Would love to see some cool ideas from all of you.

Thanks

Ron

I bought a 5Eleven Designs. I like the way he used a single piece of metal. There are other brands that are similar. You probably could do something similar, too. I didn't because I felt like I had too many other projects to do.

I've also seen quite a few that used expanded metal or plate with holes in a frame of angle iron. They don't seem anywhere near as strong although anything is stronger than the plastic grill.

Hold on to your chairs, don't laugh to hard.

Well that’s a unique one. Keeps the front mounted hydraulic pump in jail.

OP if you do a search on this site for grill guards you’ll find an easy half dozen threads in the last year with pictures of lots of custom as well as commercial grill guard styles and options. I like my 5Eleven Desigz grill guard as well.

It comes off, I've had to rebuild the splined shaft on the PTO shaft. As you can see, it's taken some bumps in the past 70 years, but it's held up. That's 3/4" thick wall pipe, and pretty banged up.

Wait a minute. You let the PTO out of jail for bad behavior?😁

Here is mine before paint

Then I painted it.....but I ended up having to "trim a little off the bottom" LOL

Since I am "drill adverse" I am particularly fond of my "mounting system"

I made some "clamp style" mounts and used electrical tape and old inner tubes to prevent chaffing.

It's a little beat up now, so I guess it's doing it job.

Made this a couple of years ago. Used "punch plate" drops. Had to use two pieces because that the size he had. Made simple hooks from "J" hooks. I rearranged the hooked end and put some rubber hose on the end.
