Hi guys

I have got B7100 recently, and going through all around servicing

I checked the engine, and noticed some gases when I remove the cap, as in this video

Video

is that blow by, and how bad is it. Do I need to go through engine overhaul?

Thanks

That close up shot is hard to see "all the blow by" ....... but I get the big picture.

Is IT hard to start AFTER you glow for 10 seconds or more?

Has it been run hard in a while? A diesel like that, that has not been used in a bit will have that - run it, and run it well.

IF it starts "well" using the glow plugs - and my 3 will NOT start if they are not glowed a bit.

THEN leave it alone ......... aint nothing wrong with it. AND when you do pull a load on it - it may blow some particulates out of the breather tube - again, somewhat normal.

If it starts and runs .......... allow it to do so!

Yes it runs normally fine with the glow plugs, and yes it has a hard start recently; as it was parked for months before I bought it recently, and the diesel is old for sure.

I will run it and enjoy it 😊

Believe me when I say ........... the more you run it "hard" the better it will get, to a point that is.

Remember - a hard working diesel will run longer than a diesel that has been run at idle and babied.

How many hours on this machine btw?

not sure about the hours, since it doesn’t have an hour meter. It was imported from USA to Jordan (Middle east).

I am planning to add hour meter, thermometer

Oldie but a great machine! Late 1970's or early 80's model.

you can get WSM and operators manual here too:
