Hello!, Quick question, would anyone know where to buy the carbide tips for the teeth? I'd rather tip them myself rather than pay 18 bucks for one tooth. Thanks!

I don't know oif this helps or would even work . I remember reading about Deeprock the diy well drilling kit maker used to sell cans of carbide that ya would heat up the drill bit till red hot & put in the carbide can & that recoated the drill bit & get back to drilling .

We use Kennametal for carbide inserts.
I looked at Woodland Mills website and they cost between 15-18 dollars each.
By the time you get the inserts and retip the ones you have it will probably be cheaper to just buy them already pre made.
I looked on eBay there are a couple sellers there as well.

I found this. They list a couple different tips and complete cutters also. Not sure of the size of the shank and the square on the woodland Mills grinder teeth.

Ya, I found that aswell. lol. I'll have to do some hard digging. For now I guess i'll just have to keep buying the complete teeth/tip combo. Obviously Woodland mills would not let me know where they get them

These folks advertise retipping for significantly less than cost of a whole tooth. https://www.wit-sonquality.com/services/

I researched the subject a while back, for what reason I don’t recall, and saved their info but I have not actually used them for retipping or anything else.

Another company sold decent budget replacement teeth that people here recommended. I thought I saved it but can't find now, but there is a thread in the last year that covers it.

I haven't needed it yet but no doubt I will with all of the rock that "grows" on my property :p
