Hi- Ben from CT Here.

Bought this on FB last week without seeing it in person. $3500 for it with abou that many hours so $1/hr lol. I did see some cold start videos and a bunch more pics and it looks to be a very well maintained fleet mower from a golf course or something. I am having it delivered to me on Friday via Uship so will be an interesting day to say the least! Seller gave me his manuals/spare parts to fix the leaking center pivot on the front axle.

My use will be mowing and eventually want to put a loader on it for mulch/firewood/snow work On my 2 acres.

Will want to start with checking all the maintenance items first so it’s up to speed on fluids/filters etc. and then just start driving it to see what comes up. Seller did indicate some electrical items are not working so I know that is to be expected. I found a good hood online and should get that later this week too so will be an exciting fri.

Think the whole world is looking for a loader but please let me know if you know of one for sale in New England.

Thank you

nice looking rig...
1st thing I'd do is remove that modified ROPS as it doesn't server any real purpose.
You may be able to buy a complete tractor WITH loader for less or equal to just all the loader 'parts'- some assembly required.... Might find one, dead deck, blown HST...as a loader donor and a treasure trove of spare parts ?

Nice looking little tractor!

As others will tell you.....
If you want a loader, sell this tractor, and buy one WITH a loader.
You have a nearly equal chance of winning the lottery, as finding a (used) loader for it.

Are those your pictures or the seller's pictures? Have you picked the tractor up or is that on the to-do list? Nice looking tractor. Sure do hope that you weren't scammed and sent money without any assurance that you were going to get what you paid for. Happens all the time on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. Some people make a good living scamming others.

Agree on all fronts- I live in CT though and there is nothing under 12k here so doubt I will find one…. ROPS will get done when I get a loader set up on it. Been mowing for 5 years with green tractor with none and my land is dead flat. That said, I have never driven this tractor so dont know what to expect.

Please LMK if you see anything like you are describing- parts tractor. Thx

I will likely build one. I like a good metal fab project and have the tools so will do if cant find one. That said, would be nice to find some parts (bucket/hydraylic parts etc).

Where is it coming from? How is it being delivered or are you going to pick it up?
Abou t100 mi from me in CT. Uship is who I used and have used in the past. Post what you want moved and what you will pay to move it and you get bids from people with trucks of all sorts. Paying $250 to have it moved. I am away actually and swamped with work (contractor) so it’s just better to get it home asap even if I have to spend a few bucks. Prob would have used $75 in gas to get it myself so $175 is ok.

Why do you ask?

For a 100 mile drive, I would have driven the 100 miles to look at it in person and checked it out before dropping $3750 on a purchase. That’s me personally though.

You may want to consider making/buying a '3PH carryall'. Super handy for hauling all sorts of stuff like rocks, patio stones, totes of firewood, tools , etc. Also if (when ?) you get a loader, you'll need a hefty rear counter weight. A box full of rocks on a skid makes an easy on ballast box for when you need the weight. Easy off for lawn mowing operations.
options, always consider options.

I agree- Im away for a week and then 2 days of crazy work so it would have been 10 days and the guy had a few others interested So I went for it. Will be worth it even if I have to make some major repairs. Nothing up here for less than $12k that is reasonable. I don’t “need” this machine as much as I “want“ it so it’s a risk I am comfortable with. Never a bad thing to get my 19 year old son involved in a diesel mechanic or metal fabrication project with me either!

Plastic headlight lenses….on any vehicle…. can become hazed/foggy due to improper cleaning. One of the most common malpractices is to use WINDEX (with ammonia) on plastic….which causes this damage.
Many drive-thru car wash places use Windex…and owners are unaware that the guys at the end of the wash are using Windex on their glass…and plastic…which crazes the plastic because of the ammonia.

There are some products on the market which “polish” the damaged surfaces of those plastic lenses…which then are ruined all-over-again when Windex w/ammonia is used on them again.

Windex does make a non-ammonia formula but it’s not commonly known that is the issue.

Never use Anything with Ammonia on plastic.

Pledge furniture polish or other products specifically intended to plastic windshields (such as products directed at aircraft windshields) are preferred.

Or at least, pretended to setup a time to drive and "see it" to see if the seller changes his story or ghost him via. email.

If the OP spent some time "talking" via. email, he might have gotten enough feeling that this is a legit purchase. Then again, some scammers are pretty good at their game.... We'll see.

He sent me a number of videos showing exactly what I was asking to see. Inside oil fill, extended idle, cold start and it all looked good. His house address matches the image he sent me and his facebook profile has a number of things that I know of in his town so I think I did as much as possible To verify. Was planning to make the trip until the last minute so we had plans to meet then I switched to getting it picked up. Not expecting any shenannigans. Prob be in worse shape than described but again I don’t mind. I have a green machine to mow with and a red one to plow with until this is a reliable replacement.

World is a mess of scum tho. I actually believe that 98% of people are good and ruin it for the rest of us.

How are your metal fabrication skills? If you can weld, you can ignore the naysayers and build your own.

"Build your own" ????
Maybe more correctly stated: "build your own prototype"
A prototype IMHO is simply a qualified experiment.
