My original plan was to make and sell them. Health problems have put an end to that plan.

Perhaps you should offer your idea to someone else.
It definitely appears to fit the "better mousetrap" concept.

Thank you. I did not come up with the idea Plenty of similar examples on the web.

Perhaps I will clean up the drawings and make them available. The tradeoff here is there is less welding but some significant machine work.

A guy on another channel I watch has a segment in a video on a SWAG brake:

I just called SWAG, in Oregon to ask if they offer a veteran discount.
Answer was NO......but...
Through Dec. 31st, they are offering $250 gift cards at 10% discount.
I will buy 2 -$250 gift cards ($450 cost), +$14.95, and use my 5% PayPal cash back.
Will save $75.74 on a factory welded $514.95 (now $439.21) SWAG heavy duty finger brake purchase.

I have one of their regular brakes that I modded/welded to fit my Baileigh 30T press. It's just "OK" to me. I've struggled to get decent 90° bends, and making duplicate or repetitive parts is a bigger challenge.

If I was to do it over again, I'd get some lower/upper dies form eBay and make my own setup.

Ken, this guy has a good idea for "repeatability" on his SWAG brake. At the 3:50 mark he explains it.

Not sure if it would help you, just a "heads up".

A simple press break is a useful tool addition if you already have a shop press. Have used mine over 20+ years on a 50 ton press. Open box demo from Northern Tool store. A finger press option would have been nice.

Did order large set of 12” press plates from SWAG. Postmaster still mad about those packages.

Takes a bit of tooling, blocks and drops to fully utilize a shop press. Always adding to the collection.
