Northwoodslife that was one short motorcycle ride!
I'm still riding! The ride hasn't ended. Frankly, it never will end until I'm gone to be with The Lord.

So, with today's tech, I'm still here.

I ride, imagine, ponder, and live life to the fullest, determined by my values, morality, income, and my motorcycle's reliability.

I always pondering about my land and even my Kubota as I ride. Everyday. And OTT fits the bill.

I think it's already approved. It's probably Exactly what they use. Everywhere North of the equator.
I would be willing to bet that in the USA the FAA does not authorize the use of "RV" anti-freeze.
FAA APPROVED deicing fluids are designated Types I, II, III, and IV.
They are all somewhat different, are usually applied hot, and have different 'holdover times"
They are specifically manufactured for aircraft use, with surfactant, corrosion inhibitors, and UV sensitive dye.
The use of "RV" antifreeze could be a potentially hazardous "Rube Goldberg" solution to aircraft deicing.
"Rube Goldberg" problem solving may be suitable for non flying issues, but is not acceptable when flight safety is involved.

I have personally experienced the benefit of tens of thousands of gallons of FAA approved deicing fluid, over 30,000 hours, and 39 years.

Well, for giggles, I sprayed it on the windshield of the car this morning. Took the frost off almost instantly. Wipers did what wipers do. No one died.

Cars usually do not fly!
Um, no. Not normally. Although, when I was a kid, they said we would have flying cars by now. And NYC would be under water. Both of which I still long for.
What does that have to do with using RV antifreeze as washer fluid?

Your comment "no one died" seemed to indicate that RV antifreeze was safe to use in all deicing situations.
A earlier post was about RV v/s aircraft deicing fluid.
My intent was to point out that RV antifreeze is NOT approved for aviation use.
People CAN die ( and have died) from the use of unapproved materials/equipment on airplanes.

Gotcha. The thread is about washer fluid. That's what my post was about. Which I was why I specified car.
