Picked up my new Stb1072 plow today. Noticed right away after getting it hooked up it looks crooked from the cab. Parked in garage with right side touching the concrete and the left side is 1 1/2" off the ground. Quick attach plate and loader arms look very straight to the brush guard. I'm pretty sure it is not my loader arms. Blade does not sit straight to the quick attach plate. Easy to see sitting in the tractor. This is all while centered / not angled. I feel like for what this cost it shouldn't be build 1 1/2" out of square. Or am it expecting too much. Haven't contacted dealer yet. Wondering if this is just a "it is what it is" thing. What are your thoughts?

That seems pretty far off to me.

Some people claim that tire pressure can have a big effect on the "levelness"

So thats a start.

To confirm the issue, expand where you're basing measurements. Measure at set points on the loader arms L/R to find where the "racking" begins.

An 1/8" off where the loader arms mount, can lead to more out of whack the further out the arms distances.

Also, skid shoes or skates should be used, and set the loader to "float" so it settles to the surface for best results.

Would need confirmation it's not the loader arms, SSQA mount etc. assuming your floor IS level...
No reason the blade shouldn't be 100% level.

Maybe this picture will show what I am seeing. You can see the qa plate against the white background. Left side is just above. Right side is much higher. So the qa plate and the blade are not on the the same plane.

I posted a another picture showing the qa plate crooked to the plow blade.

Shouldnt matter if the floor is level. Only matters if its flat, which it is. If the tractor is on the same floor the blade should still come down pretty flat. I dont think the tractor can self level, maybe a little. I posted another picture showing the qa plate crooked to the plow blade.

When I looked at the photo I thought the left side was higher than the right, if the garage door is level...as viewed from the operator's seat.

Regardless, you need to be sure the tractor is level with respect to other measurements you may take. Need to reference everything back to he tractor to get the truth.

The garage door doesn't really matter its just a white background. The top of the qa plate on both sides should line up on both sides of the plow shouldn't it? Edit: re-read your post. Yes the plow is higher on the left side.

Take the blade off and check your SSQA to see where it sits on the floor. Looking at the picture it appears that your SSQA is racked and out of level. Check the top with a 2x4 across the two arms and a 4 or 6-foot level. I kind of doubt that the plow blade is the issue.

Trouble shoot it per posts above, and if not readily correctable....take it back!

Actually I think it does matter. What are you using to base your evaluation on? Perhaps the floor is not even. No way to know from a distance. If the floor is even, the tractor may not be level, for reasons others have stated, which is essentially tire air pressure in the back tires.

So if you think something is out of alignment by basing your reference to the floor, you need to make sure the tractor is in the same plane as the floor. Check level of the tractor with respect to the floor. IF they show the same, could be a twist in something else...one step at a time...

Edit: Just an afterthought, but check the floor level below the rear axle. Since the front axle is on a pivot, it should not affect things I believe. Of course if the level of the tractor is the same as the floor at the rear axle, there could be a difference at the front of the tractor due to floor level differences, but unlikely to be as much as you have reported I would expect.

Added some pink tape to the top of the qa plate. Maybe can see it better now. The qa plate sits straight to my loader arms. The plow is what seems to be crooked.

Looking at the difference in how the qa plate planes out with the blade, not how it lines up with the garage door. This pic may help to explain. See the pink tape sticking above the plow on the right while the left is "flush". The pink tape is on the qa mount corners.

How do things look when the loader bucket is installed? Same or different?

This may give you a hint about what is going on. Just trying to help, nothing more... (y)

After though: Don't write off the previous suggestions by others to check rear tire pressure. A slight difference can make a much greater difference at the end of the loader arms.

Also, there could be an actual difference in the diameters of the rear tires. This has been reported before and has the same affect as different tire pressures at the end of the loader arms.

OK, I like pink as NOW I can see the black plow way above the black QA part of the plow frame.
Something ain't installed correct on the 'plow package'

BTW my garage floor is not level or flat, has dips in it so LOUSY as a 'reference'. Concrete pad outside is 'flat'

The SSQA plate is not welded parallel to the blade. P-poor quality fabrication. I can eyeball closer than that with my eyes closed!
