Propane is THAT high? Were just filling a small tank for a cooker? I paid $1.49 for a summer fill probably 4 months ago, and contract price was $1.79!Gasoline is running about $3.40, road diesel about $4.50.
I’m hearing home heating oil about $4.50. We just paid $4.54 a gallon for propane.

It's supply and demand problem. When demand is up, price goes up. When supply goes up, price goes up. Economics doesn't lie.If ( WHEN ) that iceland Volcano/rift opens up, the price for fossil fuels will go skyhigh ! The greenies will buy it to keep their homes warm !
diesel's already up 9c per L here in Hamilton ( 36c/US gallon)
