The battery 105E41R is no longer available, my Kubota dealer was stumped, what have other L2850 Owners replaced this battery with?

Measure the physical size of the battery ----- L x W X H .......... take those number to you local battery place and replace with one that fits!!!! Get the highest CCA you can afford!
IF you really want the OEM .... have your checkbook ready btw...........

Thanks for the suggestion, I went to the Messicks link you show above the day before and if you follow that link they no longer carry that battery.
I already have the battery dimensions in inches as L=16.1 X W=6.69 X H=9.17 ; the weight is about 60 pounds and the CCA between 780A to 880A.
Another option I thought of using a Group 41 battery, but Rural King didn't have one in stock to try.
I guess I was hoping that someone had come up with the solution of putting 2 smaller 6-volt batteries in series or 2 12-volt batteries in parallel.

Thanks for sharing I found that same link myself, in fact, that's where I got the dimensions. Unfortunately also discontinued.
That "R" at the end of the number usually indicated the terminals are "reversed" (as compared to normal). Be sure you can make the cables reach. That engine sure doesn't need 800 CCA to turn it over!!

You have to be careful using the Kubota numbers on the battery. Mine in my L3560 has a 80D26R tag meaning the positive is on the right when you're facing the battery with the terminals closest to you. Absolutely wrong in my case. Size 26 is way smaller than the actual battery, which is a simple size 24 from Napa, installed backwards so the positive is on the right side when looking at the battery. Just take your OEM battery into NAPA or any auto parts store.
the “kubota” number on the battery is the JIS number, not BCI group number

This gets brought up fairly often here, so I wanted to add a chart to help others in the future. OE batteries in Kubotas use a JIS (Japanese Industiral Standards) rating system. Here in the States/Canada we use BCI (Battery Counsil International) group system. Here is a chart to easily...

The Kubota spec'd the 105E41R battery, that it has 800 CCA was just a bonus I guess, but I never had a problem getting the tractor started to blade the driveway in the dead of winter in Western PA. As for the R designation, I didn't know that, but I would just flip the battery around. Thanks for your response!

Hey this is crazy I’m researching threads for a l2850 battery and just noticed this is a current thread. Mine currently has a group 65 with a board under it to make it taller where the mounting system would work. But I want to get the right battery.

Hey pjm1can you please Let me know if this battery you ordered fits, I think it’s going to be to tall if it’s really 9.5” tall. I remember mine being aweful close in height to the spinning arm that runs the fan and my battery is only 7.5 inches tall but it had a 3/4”inch piece of wood under it to make it taller. It may be a 1” thick piece of wood but 3/4” is my guess. Anyway 7.5+3/4” = 8.25” and if it was a 1” board that would make it 8.5”. The battery you ordered is 9.5” tall if you ordered that group 30h in the link. I think it would be to tall??? Hopefully not. Please let me know. Thanks. If it is to tall I’m thinking a group 27 will work.

Jake - - I happen to know @Fordtech86 doesn't have an L2850. He was just speaking from his own experience with batteries/ID/Group #'s, etc.
He's helped us out with a vehicle problem - - that one was a Nissan Rogue.
I did a quick Google Search, and this showed up about Group 30H dimensions:

It depends on whether it is a thick plate deep cycle or thin plate stop/start battery or a dual purpose combination. The dimensions should be roughly 13.00 x 6.75 x 9.5 to 11.9 inches tall.
