Here in Kansas Johnson Grass is considered a noxious weed and the county offers a discount on chemicals to keep it sprayed. It grows fast. I can see why you folks fertilize and bale it. I think it could be cut at 30" tall and baled and do that three times a year.

I pray you folks get some decent rains soon.

Most of the rain is just West of me, I bet they have had over an inch already.

If you believe WeatherChannel maps, looks like you might get an inch or two in the next couple days.

Certainly hope it comes true for you guys.

Excellent, great start for your seed.
Same system went thru my area, got a few sprinkles. ☹
I sure hope so.
Eventually you will get some rain!

I'm prayin everyday that everyone gets the rain they need.
Mid November is when the El Nino is supposed to start soaking you and everyone else a whole lot more.

Look what germinated last night!!

It was nice to see a slight green hue of color on the pastures.

Decent chance for some moisture(up to 1in) this week, hopefully the mountains over Mexico dont slow it down too much. Exactly what we need, a couple more small Pacific/tropical storms to happen this month.

Do you even know where your raincoat might be? You have a day or so to find it.
I hope you get a good soaking. That will give the Bermuda grass a good start. Looks like all of S Texas should get some. 🤞🤞
If I find the rain coat, that rain won't come, lol.

I started dropping T posts yesterday for a temporary hot wire fence on 9 acres to keep the cows out. I have an appointment in town today, so I hope to get the wire up and hot tomorrow before the rain is expected.

Better plan a fishing trip, just be sure. 😁

I haven't checked the gauge this morning, but it was misting all night with occasional very light rain. Absolutely the best moisture to get, no hard rain to beat up seedlings, just soaked into the ground with no run off.
