You mentioned that before so I tried it. The pressure still builds and I had to loosen a connector with a wrench once again. It wouldn't be cheap, but a pair of connectors with a valve between might be the answer if one wants to connect together.
I think the key for it to work is to not store the implement with the cylinders and the bottom of the stroke on either end.
I've been doing it for years and have no issues.
I've unhooked implements at the coldest of winter temps and reattached them in the warmest of summer temps and it works.
Granted some implements or cylinders might behave different than what I have, so then yes a couple of couplers with a bleed off valve would work perfectly.
