sounds like the same guy who I hired in 2015 to wire my shop. After about an hour I sent him home. Asked him to leave. didn't pay him a dime then he calls the sheriff. Fine. Sheriff came by and I showed him the work. Sheriff says call entergy. Called Entergy. Entergy says we need to disconnect your power asap before any fires or personal injury can happen (and they did). Took a week to get it back on too. Had to hire another electrician to fix that mess, then entergy says I need a permit (after the work is done...), Holiday weekend, nobody around to call..what a mess. Early September mind you. But luckily the temps were only in the low 90's so coming home, it was only 85 in the house. Could've been a lot worse.

The last two were rough. I used a portable generator for electricity and made an A/C unit out of a couple styro coolers, an old squirrel cage fan salvaged from an a/c unit, some old duct work, some dry ice and a whole lot of iwater ce that I had to purchase from the local store. It WORKED and that last day, the house was 74 deg inside. Too cold for me but it was better than 85-87.
Mom's a/c quit last year in July....I ran over there with my makeshift a/c system and had icicles on the celing in about 3 hours. Not really, but it was cold in the house! A/C guy said I sure hope we can get it fixed soon so we can warm the house back up.
