I would be VERY surprised if you could actually get a hard number for dealer cost of the particular tractor you are considering.Anyone know how to find what the dealer cost of a unit is? I am considering a new L2501.
That's a good idea. ThanksProbably 25%-30% lower than MSRP, if I was guessing
OK, here's the update. (BTW I'm a terrible negotiator) I went to the the Kubota website and built a 2023 L2502 with a FEL to get a MSRP. The dealer offered me about 3% off MSRP cash price to start. I countered with 10% off both the tractor and a Land pride RCF 2060. He wouldn't go for it and said there was not enough profit margin, so we settled on about 5% off both units which was about $3000 higher than a John Deere 3025 with their 2060 rotary cutter. Anyway, I'm liking the unit a lot and put it right to work.Good luck with your shopping. I think dealers are a bit more open to some discounts today with supply expanding a bit, as opposed to a year or two ago. That said, I'd be surprised if you could get much more than 10% off MSRP, but it doesn't hurt to try. Let us know how it goes.
Good luck with that.Anyone know how to find what the dealer cost of a unit is? I am considering a new L2501.
Excellent. I think it worked out well for you and you have the tractor, which is the most important part.OK, here's the update. That sounds like a good outcome. You negotiated yourself a better deal than was initally offered. Maybe you can push and get more, maybe not. But you improved your situation vs not putting in the effort.OK, here's the update. (BTW I'm a terrible negotiator) I went to the the Kubota website and built a 2023 L2502 with a FEL to get a MSRP. Hmm, by that metric December 2025 might be an interesting time to buy for folks who can wait.Buy at the business year end at the end of the month from the sales guy with the lowest sales and get the machine that has been sitting on the lot for 2 years and 11 months. You will have a good idea of the machine's cost
