Grandson had several pictures of this buck on trail camera and had seen him a couple of time that did not work out for a shot, but everything worked this morning.
That's an awesome deer! Congratulations to you and your grandson.View attachment 92386

Is that your actual reticle? If so must be FFP, correct? What power and how you like to use in low light for hunting? Is it Illuminated? If not does it need to be for hunting? (If not would it be useable on a black bear?) I have FFP on my long range target rifles but they are almost helpless with out the illuminated reticle with such fine lines if zoomed out with a bigger field of view. I wonder about it as I like to make the jump to my hunting rifles but not sure I will be happy.Hunting related rather than hunting, but I was watching some elk yesterday afternoon. I took this photo from the house. The elk were on the hill behind the house enjoying the afternoon sun. There are three in this photo but could be more hiding in plain sight.

It's the tactical milling reticle (TMR) in an older Leupold Mark 4 spotting scope that's 10x-40x. It is a FFP model with a milrad reticle which is my preference. Is that your actual reticle? A neighbor asked me to catch some beavers that were felling trees onto his fences. The beavers are tolerated as long as they stay in the fenced area around the pond. About every 3 years some of them wander out & do what beavers do. I’ve caught 4 over the last 2 days.
