I can't begin to fathom hunting deer (where I live) in AUGUST.

First....all the bucks would still be in Velvet.

Second....the temperature would be unbearable.

Yesterday here (and will be getting worse as the month goes on).

Yes, it is miserable hunting in 100 and hell degrees. I don't do it any more. A mature buck in full velvet makes a beautiful mount. The deer in my picture are all "backyard bucks." I could shoot them from the comfort of my climate controlled back porch if I were of the mind to do so. There's only been 2 bucks over the years that I would've done that, but neither ever gave me the chance. One was a massive bruiser with with an 11 point rack (Eastern count) with that 11th point being about a 6 inch drop tine. The other was a younger 8 point with the largest wide and tall symmetrical rack I've ever personally seen.

I respect that site owners and their representees (admin & mods) get to call the shots on who rubs elbows on their site and hope they respect my right to ask why they allowed above spam post to stand for over 5 weeks and ask members if they reported it during those weeks? I am reporting it.

Did you hit the “Report” button?

I hadn’t seen the post. The Moderators are all volunteers; they have said a little help by members to identify these types of posts is greatly appreciated.

Ya know if I could just get one of these six to move a wee closer to the bottom left corner of the pic, I could call it a missed shot.

The time of year is upon the poor dears to literally have them running for their lives.

Would it be against Wolfman's rule to post stuffed deer recipes? Always heard of it but never had a chance to try any.

What actually happens, is these spamming members post normal-ish posts then go back and edit and add spam links days weeks and months later, it's a sneaky trick by them, so yes if you see them report them!

Not a great picture, but at least you can see the mule deer buck.

Fun time of year now that the bucks are starting to move! My problem is that they all disappear come opening morning! lol. I like to get out during rifle season but really enjoy seeing them year round and knowing I am responsible in part for providing habitat for them.
A few recent links to some of my trail cam videos.
