Toolbox Hot Items

I built this rack and have everything I need in it that is big…the toolbox has…welp…tools!

By the way…… virtually NONE of the tools and accessories I carry around in the toolbox and basket of my Twenty-Seven year old Kubota…. have ever been needed for the 1996 Tractor Itself…. It reliably keeps on keepin’ on… Doin’ whatever I want it to do.

They’ve been necessary for the implements and attachments which are much younger or brand-new even…! .. either adjusting, repairing,…or attaching/removing them.

The Tractor..…? OIl changes, greasing, tire-pressure checks, general servicing, etc…. ALL …occur back home at the shop …where all my Real Tools live…..and all that maintenance occurs on a completely expected, and scheduled basis. Absolutely Zero unexpected problems operating out in the field which would require any of these tools.

Yeah, I haven’t figure it out yet though. When I started working I had noticed that all the older techs always kept a drawer full of calendars like these…

I would ask and they would just say one day son you will see what they are for.
There’s gotta be something to it though if the pros keep them in their toolboxes

Welcome to the forum. This is a good site and I would roger that in going over the unit to make sure all the bolts etc on any implements for attaching are tight and just make sure there are no leaks and familiarize yourself with your unit. I know when I had my tractor delivered with the loader arms attachment I never thought to check the bolts attaching the permanent mount on the tractor. I used thius unit for quite a whie and when greasing the unit I slid under the tractor to check for any grease fittings and found the bolts attaching the mount for the loader had loose bolts underneath. Guess the dealer forgot to tighten. I was lucky as dealer would likely do nothing if there was any damage. I say this as I had experienced not giving good service when I discovered they gave me incorrect shaft spline on one of my driveshafts for the snow blower. They wanted to charge me for new driveshaft or the ujoint and spline and it should have been correct in the first place.

I mow a lot with mine. I carry secateurs (trim back small branches growing over where I mow, and often blackberry shoots that have gotten in my face), pliers for the pins on the sway bars - they're just a bit tighter than I can comfortably do with bare hands when adjusting implements, spare pins, gloves, a screwdriver. Sometimes a USB charger for the cigarette lighter, for my phone.

Hey everyone I'm new here and have a 3302 coming next week. I wondering what the must haves are for the toolbox. Is there a "common" wrench size or set of wrenches you recommend?
I thought about adding a tractor supply/similar tool kit but wanted to ask you all for ideas.

I did a search for tools/toolbox but didn't see anything relevant.

For me and my old tractor its assorted wrenches especially ones to fit the battery and tools to clean connections. Pins and such for 3 pt. hitch attachments. Breakaway pins for 2 bottom plow. A scrench for the chainsaws. Adjustable and pliers.

How did you wire in a cigarette lighter?

I wired in a USB port for charging my phone. I used the stubbed out work light wires under the fender. I direct wired my work lights to the battery with a relay/switch.

Here's how I did mine. I used a fuse thief off another fuse.

I usually keep a USB charger with voltmeter in it.

One of these days, I'm going to install a voltmeter on the dash.
