Hello I have 2 questions, not sure if that’s allowed but here they are. I have a b6000 4x4 bucket on the front, tiller attachment BUT I don’t have a pto shaft to run the tiller. Can somebody point me in the right direction? They come in different lengths correct? What length range would I be looking at?

I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m missing other parts for this pto shaft as well.

Also has anyone opened the transmission up? My 4x4 trans is I believe rusted in gear. Are they pretty simple to work on or Is there a bunch of small parts and springs in there? I want to open it up clean it up gran a new boot and throw fresh oil in. (Sat or YEARS with a broken boot outside)

Well your first part is going to be a tough puzzle.
You'll need to post some pictures to be able to get any help on it.
Hopefully it has some kind of markings or model numbers.
There are very few models of tillers that will work with a B6000.
If someone just attached a standard tiller it won't work unless you get a PTO reverser, as the PTO turns in the opposite direction from most other tractors.
And if it is the right Tiller for it, it's not a standard PTO shaft as the splines are different than standard splines, so it not any easy shaft to get.

I wouldn't suggest you dive into the transmission, there are a ton of parts and very poor documentation to go by to know where everything is supposed to be.
The 4wd not disengaging is more than likely an external issue than it is an internal issue.
Drain the Hydraulic fluid, replace with new fluid and call it good, there are multiple drain points on it.
You can get both the operators manual and the WSM (aka Service manual) off of Kubotabooks.com.

Trans dose not have fluid in it had has not for quite some time. I tried putting fuel in it to loosen it up, just drained out the bottom. Will 80-90w break it loose you think?

You may want to fill it with this type of chemical to remove the rust.

is the bottom rusted out or is the plug(s) missing? Fluid should not run out of the case.

Yea little confused as to where fluid is just running out.

These are the pictures I took.
the first one is my 2wd trans On the tractor.
The tiller is like to get figured out first, if at all possible.

thank you for the link to the rust remover, I’ll order that Friday.

Yep a gear and the back of that case!
That's the reverser and spline adapter.
Try here and FYI those reducers are not cheap!

No that's a PTO Hydraulic pump, you need a PTO reverser that is specific to a B6000.

You have all the shafts you need, take the PTO half shaft off of your broken reverser box and it fits the rest of the shaft that is still attached to the tiller.

The B6000 has a small multi spline PTO that spins in the reverse direction to normal, and that why you need a PTO reverser as it will reverse rotation and give you a standard 1 3/8" six spline Male PTO shaft to connect the PTO shaft that you have already.

This is a picture of what you have that is broken.

When you get a new Reverser you'll need to remove the plate that is bolted to the tractor right now as it's specifically used for that style of reverser, there are several styles.

so what exactly is wrong with the one I have? besides the casing is broken. Is there a gear that goes on the bottom to drive the top one? If so do you think it is possible to get any thick gear and make it work or dose it have to have a certain weight to it.
And inside the reverser is supposed to be full of grease or oil, correct?

I’m getting an idea of how it works ( I think). That one won’t work on my tractor? Says it will but I’m skeptical

HOW could a 12HP tractor lift and pull let alone power the Howard Rotovator ??
That tiller looks mighty dang HEAVY !!

It is heavy, but it came with the tractor. I didn’t buy this from a Joe Schmo, it was Grampa’s he’s had it new. He’s gone now so I can ask him questions. So I’m here bugging y’all and learning as I go lol.
I got it running and driving but by doing so now have 2 tractors and this one is temporary a 2wd until I can play with the 4x4 trans
