I would assume that the dealer is responsible for doing warrantee repair work.

Sure should be. If he is flat refusing to do warranty work, that needs to be documented and turned over to Kubota.

But in this case, the dealer can easily make a case for user abuse. The dents in the cover didn't happen by themselves.

They just refuse to do any kind of work or followup on their sales. I wouldn't bring it in for this; it's fixed already and definitely not worth putting it on a trailer and taking it an hour away to the dealership. I've emailed Kubota to get some help dealing with them, but the dealership being a trainwreck is definitely a big part of my concerns over the long term viability of the tractor.

Canada's a big country, is there another dealer anywhere 'kinda close' ?
My BX23S has been very reliable aside from a couple of 'quirks' and a recall. Bought 5 years ago, 950 hours, definitley not 'showroom' condition or a trailer queen, it has 'character' now.

Yeah, I know this is blasphemy to the fanboys, but the major brands are so close to each other in quality that dealership options can be the most important factor in choosing a tractor. If you have a great New Holland dealer an hour away, and a lousy Kubota dealer a half hour away, you are better off with the blue.
