if you have a loader it'll be behind the loader frame, RH side.

just because you are getting a p0336 doesn't mean the sensor is bad though.

Don't be to surprised if you change it, and it still has a code.
Some sensors require dealer programing when you change sensors and to clear codes.

I have a 4701 and the sensor isn`t behind the bracket on right side. Can`t find it so far.
What error code is it displaying and what is your tractor serial number? You may need a software update.

Usually crank sensors just send out a magnetic pulse. So I would think that one would reset on it's own once it starts seeing the proper pulse again.

Usually latched codes (dealer only reset) have to do with fuel rate and emissions faults. It's actually the tech signing off on the repair stating that the issue was fixed for gubermint checks and balances.

You might be 100% right, on the crank sensor.
There was another thread that talked about changing the injectors too, and I mixed the two threads up.

With the crank positioning sensor, there is another one of those sensors for camshaft position as well.

If both go out, the unit won't run. On some engines, they are identical sensors. So you can swap locations and see if the issue moves. If it moves, then bad sensor. If it stays put then there is an issue in the wiring.

On the L 01 series, the error will stay displayed in the hour meter until you dismiss it using the ReGen buttons. It will stay in the ECU but not display on the dash. The only way to clear the code from the ECU is with diagmaster.
