Howdy. Have a M6800 that won't start. Pulled the starter. Didn't spin freely so have it rebuilt with new solenoid. Still nothing. Hear a faint hum when turning key to start. Starter Relay? Insn't that behind the instrument panel? I think I'd have to pull the steering wheel?

Any thoughts before I tear into that?

Starter relay is behind the instrument panel and you will need to pull the steering wheel. But first, two words :)... voltage drop test.

I suggest to clean/tighten all 4 battery cable connections. Then check battery voltage while attempting to start engine as other member suggested.

Are you having the starter completely rebuilt? Or just putting a new solenoid on it?
