What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Did my 200H service interval today. Book says only to replace the suction (transmission) filter at 200H, but I went ahead and swapped the UDT2 while I was at it. I had an open bucket that I topped off with when I did the 50H service, so I just used it up. Still have another bucket. The main reason I went ahead and changed the UDT2 is because most of my usage is heavy maneuvering between trees and around stump holes. Lots of loader work and grapple work, so the UDT2 takes a beating. Didn't look too fantastic when I drained it so it just made sense to replace it.

Good to go til 400H now.

That landpride grapple was purchased back in 2017. Most of the time I focus on the tines when they are engaged into to ground, not worried about trying to see through the grapple itself.

Last year,..... I bought a "Mid-State" (Denton, NC) E-Series "60" root rake.
I chose it because I felt the long bottom tines would best fit my need for ripping vines.
I did not like the fact that their grapple lacked zerks, but I resolved that discrepancy.
IMHO it was relatively inexpensive at $1,200 shipped.
A bit heavy at 550 lbs., but my L48 TLB loader has 2540 lb. lift capability.

I put a piece on my virnig that is 1/4 thick and full of 1/2" holes. I just didn't like that wide open hole and I had a piece of that steel. I drilled and tapped 4 hole top and bottom to hold it.

Right now, I'm just being careful about what I grab hold of and making sure everything's turned sideways or is too large to come between the teeth. But yeah, gotta do something to keep the plastic bits intact on the front of the tractor. Kinda liking the idea of it being on the grapple, too.

Luckily, my 2006 TLB has no "plastic bits" to be concerned about.

Cut low limbs from about a half dozen trees to keep them out of the way in running the mower. Chipped in place with the WM WC46 chipper.

With over 1500 hours on my BX, and not knowing if the valve lash had ever been checked, I pulled to rocker cover off and checked them. Out of the six, four were out of spec, one too tight and three too loose. Adjusted those and double checked all of them, put the rocker cover back on and ran it until it was up to operating temperature while checking for a possible leak. All was good, so it's ready for another season of work next spring.

Finally finished my pad. County did culvert near my house in August, got 6 loads of free fill. Plan on a new shed next year or year after. Had to build a section up because we have creek in back that sometimes floods. One bucket at a time. Probably total of almost 3 tanks fuel altogether. Icing on the cake was County was digging up temporary stone from culvert replacement near my house this morning-asked if I could have stone,said where ya want it? I was extremely happy, good size load was dumped nearby. Crusher run, got it spread on top of fill and rolled. Supposed to get quite a bit of rain tomorrow, so should pack down nicely

Got my 50.1 hour service done yesterday. I opted for a full hydro fluid change vs. just the filters. It took about an hour start to finish so not too bad. Most of the time was me cursing at the engine oil filter location jammed against hoses and wire looms.

Gonna pressure wash all of the mud off and give it a hose down underneath with Woolwax today to keep any corrosion at bay. Almost time to get the winter implements mounted up as well.

Our first winter snowstorm of the season. Dug out from 10.5 inches of heavy, wet, sloppy snow. The Kubota wins again!

I was burning brush in two nearby locations. All was well until I pushed one pile up and tried to back away. The tractor shut off and wouldn't restart. Luckily I had a truck nearby and pulled the tractor out of the heat. The left front tire was ablaze, but seems ok. However, I have yet to determine why the 5 amp fuse blew and shut engine off. I posted a thread in Service area.

I had the grapple on the tractor to do some firewood. My wife had cleaned out a section of our ditch and the leaves were on the road. I thought maybe I could grab them with grapple. It worked a lot better than I thought it would.

I then used it to move logs to be bucked up and split.

I got rid of some of the brush the previous owner left behind. And there's a LOT where that came from.

One of the reasons I got the grapple. Such a handy gadget when dealing with brush!

Stopped at the local tractor dealer to look at the new tractors. Decided to keep the one that I have.

What brand of spacers did you go with?

Bora. I think I got a discount code from Good Works tractors (where I bought my quick hitch, since the land pride one was so delayed).

Easy to install, just tricky to make sure the loaded wheels didn't get out of hand.

I greased the snowblower and replaced the shear pins.
