If you had listened to the democrat (Biden, Obama, Clyburn, Pelosi, Schummer, etc. ) death of democracy talking points you would understand.
Okay. I turned off the BS months ago. Last minute politics is just mud throwing.

BTW: I voted a split ticket. By person not by party !

This will be unpopular but I don’t think everyone should vote, especially if your going to vote straight ticket.
It’s my opinion that one should research the candidates and make decisions based on information about each one, especially in local elections.
One of our county commissioners is up today, the current guy has been in this position for 17 years and from what I have gathered he has done a good job. His opponent, formally our local weather man of 30 years is simply running on name recognition. Spoke with him on Saturday and he never once gave us a reason to vote for him and/or why the other guy should be voted out. My wife worked with him for years, he’s a very nice gentleman but neither of us are going to vote for him just because of the letter beside his name and we both lean that way more than the other.
Agree. If you have taken the time to be an informed voter, vote. If you have dug at least a bit beyond political ads and partisan pundits to know the historical actions, experience, and positions of the candidates when they weren’t in campaign mode, then vote for the candidates that you believe are the best choice: by all means vote. Whether you agree with me or not, who you should vote for: those are different topics not appropriate for this forum.

If you vote based on political ads, partisan pundits’ propaganda, or straight ticket because that’s the party your parents voted for without considering the merits of the candidates; please don’t vote.

The duty to vote includes the duty to be a voter who is as informed as reasonably possible and who has put some actual thought into that vote. To do otherwise is as irresponsible as firing a gun without aiming.

I guess this is the last day of election month except for the acceptance of the undated illegal ballots in PA. I liked it when you had to go to your poll on that one designated day unless you had a damn good excuse like military service.
Agreed.

I'm really disappointed with PA and how they may decide/fight over undated ballots. It's quite embarrassing. I don't think any votes should be cast until there is at least one debate (for those that actually care enough to watch it).

I think the voting process for me and my wife took a combined 1.5 mins for us today. From sign in to get back in the car...about 90 seconds.

And just a minor comment...I think we now have an election "quarter" not just a month and certainly not an election "day". 🤷‍♂️

In Michigan we voted back a few years ago to have "no reason" absentee ballot voting... They also have a web page for you to track your ballot.
My ballot was received at the township clerks office 10/7 Just another reason to ignore the negative political ads.
A candidate that advertises what he or she stands for and will work to achieve. Will get my vote long before the candidate that spend all their ad money stating that the other person is bad/wrong or a crook without every coming out with what they are for and more importantly stating a clear case of how 1). they plan to achieve it 2). Why that law or action/goal is good for the many/country rather than good for their donors/crony's.

We voted last Saturday. Took about 10 minutes to verify identity and vote. We researched the ballot and candidates. But still had a few surprises.

Been watching the Little Rock race for mayor. I couldn't vote for that one since I'm not a resident of the city but work there. The current mayor is pretty shady and crime is out of control in that area.

I usually don't care who is elected to the local school board, and in fact most times it is "choose no more than 2" and only 2 are running. However I do reliably vote for millages to support the schools, since this is a pretty poor county. This year there were 3 running and I couldn't find out anything about any of them. I did find their phone numbers listed in a table of candidates so I called each one, and to my surprise all three returned my call and answered my question "how would you handle a hot under the collar parent that came to a board meeting wanting to ban certain books from the library?"

All 3 gave reasonable answers, but the person who gave the best answer to that and other questions appeared to be defeated as of the last count that popped up on the screen. Sigh.

I think we can all agree that the best thing to come from this, or any election, is the couple months (hopefully) of peace we'll get away from the political ads. I mean, I've been relatively into politics for the last several years, but I'm so unbelievably tired of the anti Tudor Dixon ads that are forced on me every 5 minutes of Youtube.

lol!

I don't know who Tudor Dixon is but I can tell you that my wife and I were so fed up with the constant negative ads on TV that we switched to watching streaming content.
The upside? We found 'Bosch' on Prime. It's an awesome series. 8 seasons, 10 episodes per season. We watched 2 or 3 a night. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Now we get medi-care option commercials .
My choice for House lost , mostly thanks to gerrymandering. But that is life.

I got lucky on the school board vote. My doctor was running so I knew one of the candidates.

Final tally came in that my two favorites were on top, so it made me glad i bothered. Very few votes so every vote counts in a small district..
