This will be unpopular but I don’t think everyone should vote, especially if your going to vote straight ticket.
It’s my opinion that one should research the candidates and make decisions based on information about each one, especially in local elections.
One of our county commissioners is up today, the current guy has been in this position for 17 years and from what I have gathered he has done a good job. His opponent, formally our local weather man of 30 years is simply running on name recognition. Spoke with him on Saturday and he never once gave us a reason to vote for him and/or why the other guy should be voted out. My wife worked with him for years, he’s a very nice gentleman but neither of us are going to vote for him just because of the letter beside his name and we both lean that way more than the other.

I voted early. It was a painless process. Scanned my DL, they printed out my ballot, I marked it, and went and inserted it into the machine and watched the number go up by 1.

What in the world are you talking about ?
If you had listened to the democrat (Biden, Obama, Clyburn, Pelosi, Schummer, etc. ) death of democracy talking points you would understand.

Honestly there are times where I don’t want to vote for any of the particular candidates and I wish I could opt to take a vote away from one instead. (If you only have two piles of shit to pick from, you still end up with a pile of shit). Yes I know not much of a difference but it is the principle of it I think. Also we are supposed to be (at least we were) a republic.

Not gonna lie... If you're not voting the way I want you to vote, then I don't want you to vote. Obviously, I can't stop you, and I wouldn't want a world where I CAN stop you. But I still want the candidates I vote for to win, otherwise I wouldn't waste my time.

Once again, when my wife and I vote, we have to vote against the greater of two evils, in almost every case.

Been a long time since we actually got to vote for someone that we wanted in office.

You do this when you add a vote to the most desirable of the two undesirable in your eyes. Net effect is the same.

I guess this is the last day of election month except for the acceptance of the undated illegal ballots in PA. I liked it when you had to go to your poll on that one designated day unless you had a damn good excuse like military service.

This morning my daughter called and said she just got home from voting, she votes at the same place as me. She said to be sure that I get a receipt from the machine which has a printer much like a gas pump. On edit, apparently that printer is for results, and is not for the voter.
