Not sure on that one.
The spring scale I had at the time only went to 300 lbs.
I have since gotten a digital scale that goes up to 600 lbs.
We have some pretty healthy hogs in Deep East Texas.

I've killed quite a few well over 300 lbs. but never anything that would get to 400.
Even some Sows (weighed) that were over 250 lbs. One was 280 lbs. That's a big sow anywhere.
But those are exceptional hogs. Mature Boars (3+ years old) will run 250-325 lbs. Sows about 160-210 (some heavier if carrying a load of piglets).
But I don't assign one pig over another any importance according to weight. They are ALL destructive and I don't hunt them for sport. Rather...to keep them from damaging my property.
Feral hogs are a scourge and I kill as many as I possibly can....of any age, size, weight or shape.
