I think a little clarifiction is required here guys.
The D650/750/850/950 etc all have water pumps,(well UK market that is, global distrobution may differ) they are part of the 70mm series engines which also inc 4 cyl versions but sharing the same layout/format etc.
Where you are located globally will to a more or lesser degree dictate wether you have a top mounted alternator setup or not, or maybe a side mounted unit as per a lot of D850/950 installations.
In the UK most are as per mine, but there will a lot which are not.
The extra lighting requirements in the UK made it nessacary to use a heavier duty electrical setup( thats from an official Kubota UK source).
In the states you will probably have the lower output version.
There are two belts on UK setup with a dual belt pulley wheel, one belt from the crank drives the water pump/fan assembly via the pulley wheel, whilst the second runs from the rulley wheel to the alterantor.
simple as that.
also diagram of 70mm series engines cooling setup attached and a pic of the D850 before i overhauled it and put in my 7100, dynamo was mounted on the side, i removed that fixing setup and used the fixing method that was on my original 750 engine.
There were a few issues that were not obvoius to start with, such as bolt lenghts differ etc, some fixings were with studs and nuts instead of bolts.
all worked out in th end.
last pic is of the rebuilt 850 with the top mounted alt setup from my original B7100 (d750).
hope that helps.
