What Spray lubricant do you Gentlemen recommended for using in the linkages and lube points in a BX tractor ? Is chain lube ok ? Or, white litho grease,ok ? I'm surprised there are not more zerk fittings on these machines. Such as the tie rods, steering gear, shift linkage, etc. My old Gravely has fifteen zerk fittings for grease..

OP asked for a lubricant, aren’t these undercoating / rustproofing?

White lithium makes a mess. The newer clear gel lubes work great. Many companies make them. One example here.

Thank you Gentlemen, I never realized that WD-40 made other formulas..

Chain lube is fine, some kinds spray on thin and then become thicker when the solvent evaporates allowing it to flow into joints.

The problem with spray lube is it gets a lot of lube where you don't want it and not much where you do want it. I prefer an old fashion oil can.

Krown, but I rarely lube any linkages because I find it just attracts dirt. Over 900 hours and nothing wore out yet.

Deep creep
I have some Deep Creep, and I love it. It is similar to Aero-Kroil, but cost a little less, and will loosen hard stuborn nuts and bolts. I use it sparingly, and use the WD40 for simple stuff, and save the creep for tough jobs.

I've been using ATF from an oil can on linkage joints that are easy to get to, and spray chain lube on the less accessible ones.

I use it on locks, hinges and anything that moves that does not have a grease fitting.
I also use it on electrical connectors.

Adding my vote for the Fluid Film. Seeps in and sticks around, smells not bad.
I keep regular WD40 around as well, for dirt/rust penetration and cleaning. Wipe that down and follow with Fluid Film for lasting results.

I like WD-40 Dry Lube. Doesn't make a mess and so far, I have had good luck with it.
