Telescoping lower arms

I”ve got an M4700 with standard lift arms. I would like telescoping lift arms. I don’t wish to use Pats Quick Hitches because I don’t want to change the top-link distances (because I’v already converted to a hyd top link).

Is there a way to swap out the lower arms…OR…to cut off the ends and weld-on telescoping balls?

Some models have telescoping lift arms as optional equipment. Not sure about yours but if so, you can buy the optional package from Kubota.

I did this for my B3350 ROPS. Easy installation but expensive.

Don't buy them at the parts counter. Visit your salesman, he can order parts thru "whole goods", it's cheaper, these are upgrades usually bought with tractor.

Whole Goods rather than parts department.

Most (all?) parts personnel cannot sell whole goods items.

They're called telescoping draft links. I don't know of any weld on parts- you need complete lift arms.

The new MX5400 and MX6000 have those telescoping lift arms. Go look at them at a dealer and see if they will mount on your tractor.

If you use the terms “draft links” you’ll likely end up looking at stabilizers…not lower lift arms.

My M4700 has lift arms which measure 31” hole-center to hole-center. They are Cat 1/Cat 2 arms… (They can be reversed to attach Cat 1 or 2 implements. I only have Cat 1 implements but I can always use bushings if needed.)

Another Forum participant had some he offered here on OTT he had purchased for his MX4700….but he couldn’t use them…they were Cat 2 and 36” long. Those would not work for me either. (and I have to be careful because a MX4700 is NOT a M4700…. so when I shop I really need to pay attention to actual length.
Then, of course, there are the lift-arm holes and stabilizer holes to consider.

Going to a dealer to look at current production…. That would be an expensive way to buy them. I probably need to find salvage yards for tractors.

I know, I get it… but using that term gets you to stabilizers more often than link arms or lift arms. (at least that’s what happens with MY internet search.

Kubota calls them “extendable or telescoping lower link arms or links”.

I’d like to know that also. Sometimes I get duplicates for who knows why. But there is no delete option.

I'm pretty sure you can delete a post, but you have to do it before anyone else post after it. Just click on edit, highlight the whole thing and hit delete.

The reason it's set up that way is because if folks started going in and deleting post after responses have been made soon the thread doesn't make sense.

The forum software has been set so you can't delete your own post once made. Only a moderator may delete a post. Even if you type a replay and forget to click "post reply" the words that you typed will be there a week later, except that only you will be able to see them. Even when you backspace them they will be there the next time. Choose your words carefully, because the system has the memory of an elephant!
