Just for fun, Kubotas' antifreeze is "green stuff".

1. Kubota antifreeze is manufactured by CCI Manufacturing in Illinois
2. Chuo Chemical Industries (CCI Corporation) is a quintessentially Japanese company founded in Japan in 1949 and it claims 60% market share of the engine coolant used as factory fill in Japanese vehicles.
3. CCI Corporation established its first US subsidiary in 1980
4. One of its headline products is Golden Cruiser automotive engine coolant.
5. CCI Manufacturing in Illinois has a MSDS dated 2014 for a product called "GC Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant". Anybody starting to see a connection? Maybe GC as in Golden Cruiser and CCI Manufacturing as a component of CCI Corporation????
6. Golden Cruiser coolant is manufactured worldwide with plants in Japan, Germany, Britain, China, USA, and Mexico.
7. Golden Cruiser coolant is a modern ethylene glycol based extended life coolant formulated using a very Japanese phosphated hybrid OAT chemistry.
8. It is silicate, nitrate, bromate, and amine free.
9. It is dyed green
10. CCI Manufacturing in Illinois has a newer MSDS dated 2015 for a product described as Kubota Extended Life Antifreeze/Coolant. It is also a HOAT coolant with the exact same chemical description as the GC coolant and is also green in color.
11. It sure looks like Kubota Long Life Antifreeze/Coolant is simply a rebranded Golden Cruiser antifreeze/coolant made in the USA by a US subsidiary of Chou Chemical Industries
12. Its also clear that other than being ethylene glycol based it bears no chemical resemblance to old school IAT green coolant. It is a POAT formulation that bears a striking resemblance to the blue, red, violet, and green Asian formulations from other manufacturers

And just for giggles in Australia Kubota HD antifreeze/coolant, also green in color, is made by Valvoline (of Zerex fame)

Thank you for confirming the details. I already knew most of what you shared, but I would be willing to bet that most Kubota owners didn't know any of it (unless they have been following our comments).

After all that has been said, I will stick by what I said earlier:

1) Using distilled water for mixing is better than using well or city water. (You can do what you think is best for your machine)

Distilled Bourbon is not good for your tractor, but it is still good to have around! (Everybody knows that!)

2) You can't know the properties and/or correct use for an anti-freeze by its color. Remember, the "green stuff" was clear until they added a coloring agent. YOU NEED TO READ AND UNDERSTAND THE SPECS REQUIRED FOR YOUR MACHINE, WHATEVER IT IS, AND USE A PRODUCT THAT MEETS THOSE SPECS.

Whiteiger, just an FYI..The anti freeze I purchased from the dealer is the same spec as the Kubota branded antifreeze and it's the same antifreeze specified in the shop manual and owners manual.

So when I bought my tractor last year I had no idea what was in the cooling system or if it had ever been changed. So I decided to give the system a good flush, and not seeing anything "special" listed in the WSM and given I had some Mopar standard green "long life" concentrate from when my late friend and I had our business I decided to simply use that after a good (non chemical) flush with distilled water and a final fill of the Mopar stuff and distilled water to proper strength. So after running it a year, seeing the discussions here and on a couple other sites I figured it's due again.
So I had to hit the dealer anyway for filters. Well he didn't have any Kubota brand, but said any of the Japanese blends are exactly what the Kubota stuff is. So I asked "like Toyota pink or Honda blue". He said both are perfect. Well darn, since I drive 2 Toyotas and always keep the right stuff for them, I replenished my supply with a couple gallons of the Zerex Asian pink. Flushed the system well with about 3 gallons of distilled water. Letting engine run well until all I got out of it was just clear water. Filled with the Asian pink, ran, opened engine drain and made sure only pink (no water came out). Yeah I wasted perhaps a pint or so. Finished bleeding the system, finished the fill in the radiator and over flow bottle. Glad I spoke to the dealer. He said either the blue (Honda) or pink (Toyota) were perfect.
