BH77 - what's it worth

I looked around for a rules thread but couldn't find anything specific so I'm not 100% certain we're allowed to post "what's it worth" threads. If not allowed, I'll delete.

My L3901 was recently lost in a fire. I have a BH77 that was not on the tractor at the time. I am upgrading to an MX5400 with the BH92 so I no longer need the BH77 and I intend to sell it on the private market.

I bought it in August 2016 and I estimate the BH77 has roughly 50 hours on it. It could be 10 or so higher or lower than that, but it's so low either way that it doesn't really matter.

The BH still looks new. Only used on my property for basic chores. It has the mechanical thumb. I just bought a Bxpanded QA coupler and 6" trenching bucket and they've never been installed (they arrived a few days before the fire). I'll likely sell these separate unless I find a buyer for everything before the QA coupler and trench bucket sell. I did send an email to Bxpanded asking about their return policy but they have not responded.

The BH subframe was damaged in the fire and I will be buying a new subframe (plus any other BH parts that were on the tractor, if any - hydraulics?), though I plan to wait until I have a buyer for the BH77 and then I'll buy a subframe that fits the buyer's tractor so I'm not limiting myself to L3901 owners only.

Having said all that, I'm curious what you folks think the like-new BH77 is worth? I've seen one or two for sale but not many hit the market as a standalone unit. Most seem to sell with a tractor as a package.

TX Chris.... Where are you located? Texas Somewhere I assume..... I'm near Baltimore Maryland. Way too far for me... but I'd like to know the locations just in case I find someone who is looking.

The BH was/is in great shape. Looked new when I picked it up. The paint wasn't even wore off the buckets.

I got the quick attach from BXpanded. Works pretty good.

Mine is also virtually 'like new', though it's missing a little paint from the business end of the bucket.

I'm glad to hear the BXpanded QA works as advertised. I was super excited when I ordered it. Three days after it showed up with the 6" trenching bucket, my tractor was KIA.

Chris I'm down in Tomball just north of Houston and I'm interested. I did not want to pay full price because I don't think I'll use it enough to outweigh renting a mini excavator. But at a bit over half I'd probably decide I need to have one. Ping me when you decide on a price. I assume the insurance will pay for your destroyed sub frame. If they require you to replace it then I'd need one for a L2501. Otherwise I could source locally at full retail. Rather get the whole package though. Cheers

I bought my B2650 in summer of 2018 with the Bh77 and mechanical thumb. I used it for maybe 10 hours before moving up to a mini ex. Digging a couple holes, pushing some trees over etc. Paint barely off the teeth. I put it on CL for I think $7000 without the subframe. I sold it a couple months later for $6000 or $6500, can't recall (this was summer of 2019). The key is how long you want to sit on it and how many CL flakes and lowballers you want to deal with.

After thinking through the actual process, I decided to not include a subframe due to current lead times. No point in keeping the BH sale pending for however long it takes for the subframe to arrive after an interested party commits and lets me know what tractor they have. I'd rather just let them get a subframe on their own.

I'm figuring $6,000 for the BH77 (with 16" bucket and manual thumb) and I'll throw in the brand new never-installed QA coupler and 6" trenching bucket from BXpanded (5 week lead time) for an extra $450 (paid $700 and change). I need to get some pictures of everything so I can make a formal listing, but there have been a few interested parties so I'm just putting this out there for now.

I'll make a separate listing for the BH and QA coupler and trenching bucket but would gladly make a package deal.

I'm in Rowlett, TX roughly 20 miles east of downtown Dallas. I have no intentions of shipping it myself but will obviously help someone load it up, whether in person or with a hot shot or whatever. The only stipulation there is that my MX5400 has arrived and I can lift the roughly 900 pound (?) backhoe with it.

I am definately interested. My sister lives in Sachse and her husband can haul it. My L2501 was ordered without a backhoe so I need to figure out what else is needed besides the sub-frame to plumb it in. I'm sure that info is here on OTT so I'll start digging.

The subframe kit will come with the hoses to plumb it in.
Edit- see you have added hydraulics already so that won’t be as straightforward.

Let me know! I'm posting for sale ads here, TBN and craigslist now. I'll PM you my number in case you want to call or text. I'm not on here much at all over the weekend.

It looks like the reason Kubota says that rear remotes are not compatible with the BH77 is that the kits have standardized hoses of certain lengths that would not work with each other. Custom hoses would probably solve the problem. I'll have a chat with Brian @MtnViewRanch to clear it up.

Yup, ....but reading history/dates of prior posts might have been most helpful.
