LX2610 Oil Fill Location

I have a LX2610 which I just did my 50 hour service. After I changed the oil filter, I added the oil back into the tractor motor and I added the oil to the TOP oil fill cap(the oil fill cap is on top of the motor, right behind the air filter plastic canister). After that, I noticed an oil fill cap about 1/2 way down the motor.
Did I put the oil in the wrong location???
Did I mess anything up putting the oil into this location???
I checked the oil level on the dip stick and it is at the correct level.

Nope. Two different fill locations for that engine in other applications.

Correct. You are good if there is oil on the stick.

these engines are used in multiple applications, not just tractors.

I saw a V3800 engine in a horizonal boring machine a few weeks ago that had 4 options of where to add engine oil. Only 3 were accessible in that application though.

The 3 JDs had those 2 locations. The B2601 seems to only have the top one on top the valve cover. That one is easier because it isn't slanted like the one on the 3 JDs down low in the front. The Isuzu has both like the JDs had.
