While my new tractor sits waiting for tires and FEL (la526) and final assembly. I decided to check L2501 inventory at another dealer.
I was told other than a unit past due, any new orders 🇨🇦, would be 13 months for delivery?
I felt a better about having secured a machine, even though, I can’t use it yet!!

meh, I wouldn't put much stock in it. When I bought my LX several dealers were saying 6-12 months, while another dealer had it delivered in less than 2 weeks. You just have to look in the right places.

Just out of curiosity, why are you getting rid of the L3800 for a 2501?
Had the l3800 since 2013, put 1400 hrs on it, many of them hard hrs., some mechanical needed, major repair to FEL needed. I suspect I’ll miss the extra hp, but could not justify extra $9000 +15% tax 🇨🇦 for a new L3801.

I'm in the same boat. I had narrowed down my choice to an L2501. I scraficed a few horse power to get a unit without the DEF. When I called the dealer I was told they had one I could look at but it had already been sold and was just waiting on delivery. The next day when I called to inqire about making a visit (an hour away) to see the L2501 in person they mentioned one had just come in but was still in the crate. I went to look at the one that was waiting on delivery and wound up twisting off on purchasing the one still in the crate. Now I'm patiently waiting on the FEL to be delivered. It may be a long wait!

Hopefully just a mis-type on your part, but the 3301, 3901, and 4701 don't use DEF (diesel exhaust fluid), however they DO have a DPF (diesel particulate filter). I believe some larger tractors may have both? (my diesel SUV does, also)

Most in the USA do not understand the 15% HST, as they have never had to live with it.

Yes, you're correct. I meant DPF filter.

My local dealer in central NYS has had a bunch of machines for most of the year.

I don't think they stay around long, but know that most are in-fact for sale, and not already sold. I stopped a couple months ago and kicked tires on a couple.

Most, not all, have FEL installed. They also have/had quite a few in crates. Smaller dealer, but tied to a larger NH dealership in a larger market an hour south.

Hopefully your loader will show up sooner than later.

Yes exactly, some dealers ordered sufficient inventory to meet the demand, in my case for L2501. However, once all this inventory is sold it could take many months for new inventory to arrive. I believe l2501 is made in Japan, so that could be part of the problem. If considering buying check with your local dealers inventory status.
