Does anyone know how long a l4060le with loader and a 6ft cutter is. My current 18ft trailer is going to too small I believe. Any thoughts or help would be appreciated

There was a thread last week regarding ‘tractor weight question’ I think in the tractor operating area. I am not sure you saw it or not several chimed in about weight and trailer capacity. I suspect your LE may not really be much different in length from the big GL or Mx. there fairly close in overall size. As a worst case if you don’t have an exact measurement, kubota does publish the TLB dimensions…that might help you short of someone with an actual measurement. The tough question for me has always been trying to judge how the tractor will balance on the trailer (meaning positioning of the deck) site unseen…always seems to be a little trial and error to find the spot. I’d leave a little extra room for safe measure when specing a trailer. I have a 24’ deck over for my MX and I would not consider anything smaller (and I suspect your LE is probably not more than a 6-10 inches different if that?). If you do fold over ramps you need to get it all on or you would not be able to get ramps into the up/vertical position. Just as a a guess I suspect you would be over 20’ and maybe closer to 21-2’. (Depending on you model of 6’ wide bush hog that could hang 8-10’ behind the machine?)

A possible 'option' maybe be to remove cutter, toss into pickup box, then load tractor/loader onto your current trailer ??

I have an L48 TLB, and it fits on a 20' trailer, ...... with proper weight distribution.
That said: I would have much preferred a 22' trailer, but needed to conserve indoor trailer storage space.
I cannot carry any additional items on the trailer.

We had a 20ft trailer and with the mower deck on it, it would hang off the rear by a couple of feet.

My B2601 with fel and 4 Foot cutter take up entire 20 Foot deck. Depending on ramp set up 20 foot may still work just have tail wheel of cutter hanging off some.

I have a 22' trailer and the MX with a 7ft cutter (RCR1884) doesn't fit great. The L4060 is similar in size and a 6ft cutter would obviously be about 1ft shorter at the back.

It'll be a lot better with the Del Morino Centurion Super 158 that will be here this week. I'll be using the flail mower at my friend's place this year and will take a photo of the MX and flail on the same trailer for reference. I'll be able to keep the ramps on the trailer with that setup.

From the look of that tongue weight, you would likely benefit from "Air Lift" (easy install) suspension.
I added that very simple system to my 454 V8, K2500 4x4 Suburban, and it made for a much better highway towing experience.
I also used an Equal-i-zer 14K hitch.
My towed load (L48 TLB+trailer) was 12K+ on a 14K rated 20' trailer.
I recently sold the Suburban, but kept the TLB, trailer, and Equal-i-zer -$800- hitch.

I flagged the rotary cutter with a couple of wheels. 😂 If only the tires were Kubota orange.

Last year I ended up buying a Curt load leveling hitch that I'll be using when I tow the M6060 almost 600 miles in a couple of weeks.

I am aware of the Curt hitches, but did a bit of research ( 7 years ago ), and concluded that the Equal-i-zer was the better one for me (14K).
Proper setting of your electric trailer brakes is important as well, though I see that you have a trailer RV already.
If the CURT you have, is for the RV trailer, it would likely not be properly sized for your tractor/trailer weight.

That's not my travel trailer. It belongs to the friend whose fields I cut. I bought one of the 15k weight distribution kits since my trailer is rated around that weight too. This is the one I bought.

The receiver on the trailer is height adjustable and I recently dropped it to the bottom of the coupler to raise the front of the trailer up a bit. I hope I have an uneventful trip in a couple of weeks. There are some big mountains to climb regardless of the route I take from Sheridan, WY.

I think that backing up can be an issue with that hanging chain type hitch.
That is why I opted for the Equal-i-zer hitch (with bars) instead.

I don't need to back up at my place or my friend's, but if I find myself in a situation where I need to back up and the weight distribution is a problem, it'll take 30 seconds to get out of the truck and disconnect the chains, and another 30 seconds to reconnect them once I'm ready to take off.

Not a problem unless someone is shooting at me!

no I'm not kidding. I've carried a 6' bushog in the 6.5' box of my F150 without any problems. Yes ,one side is up against the wheelwell/bed and it's resting on the side lip of the box, never been an issue.
Have to ask why do you think this is 'wrong' ?
