And that truck sold new for under 2K. I had all the paperwork for an F250, 1984 I had and it was $2400 on the sticker.
It needs to be "restored", but is all there.Fried, you ought to fire that thing up once in a while and at least take it to church! Then when it's finally sold the auctioneer can say "Only driven to church"!

I gave it to my oldest son in ATL (55), but it has now come back to me.
Why?
Because dad has a building to store it in.
Hopefully son will eventually (pay to) bring it up to like new condition.
Being 81 now, I will likely not see that.
Im 59 I had this 78 F150 4speed 351Modified I restored. Sold about 6 years ago and really wish I had not done that.
You have to keep in mind that Mecum sells the stuff thats not good enough for Barret Jackson.Saw Mecum sell a decent '78 or '79 F250 4x4 on TV while back. Gone Farmin' Tractor/Truck series.
Don't recall $$, but was some serious cabbage....
The reason I sold it was my neighbor at the time started this. He was young, got married wanted to buy a house. I gave him 3000-00 for it in 2002. I finished it built the motor, drove a while. He came by 1 day asked about it and i sold it back to him with the condition he kept it this time. That truck looks magnificant!
Mine is a 4 on the floor also.
I have had quite a few foreign vehicles. The reason I sold it was my neighbor at the time started this. He was young, got married wanted to buy a house. I gave him 3000-00 for it in 2002. in 1982 I bought a 79 Bronco, I had that till 2005. I cant count the engines i went through. So I had a pention for them. The 1st manual I ever drove was my Brother in Laws new 77 F150 4 speed. So it was in my blood. I miss the Truck but I had 8 vehicles at the time. Down to only 3 now and 2 Motorcycles...So Im getting better LOL.
77 had different suspension setup in the front I love those trucks with that distinctive grille. Neighbor has a 75 2 wheel drive F250. I pulled him home 3 days ago. He rebuilt the 390 and had the carb all messed up starving for fuel. Too big of a cam in it to in my opinion.
Anyway......You guys got me remembering. Now I buy Ram trucks. Bought 1 in 08 and loved it. 300,000 miles later I bought a new 1 to replace it. Never owned a Toyota or foreign car or truck.
Lol....never to old my friend !!! I cant recount how many cars ive had. Used to buy winter beaters during 1st marriage ex wife drove 4x4. 1st car was a 442 Olds, i was 15, dad told me if i wanted to drive i had to buy it all. Car, insurance fuel. So i got head start. Then my 1st car loan was a 79 GMC High sierra pickup 4x4. I traded that POS in on the Bronco. Ive had Buick Grand natinol, a 84 Hurst Olds, Ford Rangers, a Torino Gt, and lots of others.I have had quite a few foreign vehicles.
My 1st car ever was a 1934 Ford that I paid $50 for while I was in high school.
2nd car was a used POS Triumph TR-3 that I bought while I was in Navy flight training in Pensacola.
3rd was a brand new '64 VW Beetle bought new, while I was stationed in Canada for $1,200.
Then off to Spain for 2 years, and a 1965 VW Squareback.
Several Fords in the USA after that.
Then a Peugeot 504 diesel.....a real POS!
A few Hondas, followed by a a GMC Jimmy (diesel), a 454 Suburban 4x4, and a Mercedes E-320.
I currently have a 4x4 1987 Jeep Wrangler, a 2010 Corolla (best car ever), and a 2018 Mercedes E-350.
I am getting too old now to likely need another car.
BTW....My father is 91 and still drives. My mom passed long ago dad has a 69 year old girlfriend and people think they are the same age. He worked his whole life and still does. Keeping active means a lot !!!I have had quite a few foreign vehicles.

She pursued him. Suprised at his age as well. They are neighbors on same block is how they met. My sister hates it. I think its great. She is good for him.I LIKE your dad's philosophy (69 yr. old GF)!
You must have received one he11 of a deal in 1984 for a new F250 with a sticker of $2400.And that truck sold new for under 2K. I had all the paperwork for an F250, 1984 I had and it was $2400 on the sticker.
Ahhhh, my ‘87 GN was one of my favorites. It didn’t take much to make it a beast.Lol....never to old my friend !!! I cant recount how many cars ive had. I still have a 1972 Gto in my Barn. Bought in 1980. 1500 bucks. Sticker in the glove box was 3500 new. It is all rebuilt 400 4sp posi but needs body finished. I started it and realized im a better mechanic than body guy. Lol...
I will say i had to drive to Cleveland today, and took my new Ram Laramie and iys probably the best veihchle to drive. I have a 2001 Ws6 Trans Am too. Im too old getting in out that car. Drove then sold motor scrapped the rest. Very hard to find now. No one else in my family even changes thier own oil. Not sure where i gotbthe bug at but its been a blast.

In keeping with the thread theme I have always been partial to Fords and have no regrets owning my ‘10 Raptor. Ecoboost? Pass.

Yeah, I’m not paying $90k for a truck. That’s why I bought mine when it was 10 years old (from Arizona with 60k miles).Awesome dude.....i want a Trx but cant pry the money from my iron grip !!! That is a beautiful car and Truck !!! Knew i liked you !!!
Nice.....i agree, Brunswick Auto has new Trx over 100 grand. They add premiums.Yeah, I’m not paying $90k for a truck. That’s why I bought mine when it was 10 years old (from Arizona with 60k miles).
I’m a bit of an addict and tend to get something new (to me) every few years. I’ve also had many ‘67-‘68 Mercury Cougars, a few F100s, an ‘09 MINI JCW, ‘04 VW R32, ‘13 Boss 302, a buncha Jeep Wranglers…….I’m all over the place. My next stupid buy will be a ‘71-‘72 Buick Riviera. Never had one and wanna remedy that. I found the “right” one but it was right when I got the Kubota so the timing didn’t work. There’s always another……
Nice! Never had a TA or Camaro. The GN, an ‘86 K10, ‘64 Impala SS and ‘08 Silverado were my only non-beater GMs.Nice.....i agree, Brunswick Auto has new Trx over 100 grand. They add premiums.
I never haf a Riviera but..ex wifes brother did.
With that pointed rear glass. Think 72 but not sure. I bought my Kubota and was negotiatingba 2022 ss Camaro in P A. But they refused to deliver for free so i said no. I want to sell my Trans Am i think. Get to my truck and newer car. Maybe keep both lol.... View attachment 77347 View attachment 77346

I bought the Boss from Texas. The dealer offered cheap shipping but I drove it home instead. I love a road trip!
I never had anything that long so I wouldn’t know what that’s like. I always think I’m going to keep ‘em but then move on to something else.Thats cool. Never had a mustang, but been in a few.
