Testing out the new 535 loader in the woods and the bucket level indicator fell off. I assume a bolt is supposed to keep it connected? See in the pic the part I am referring to.

not sure if it is a threaded bolt or a bolt with a cotter pin - either way that needs to "float" against the bracket.

My LX2610 SU came with the indicator (was in stock at the dealer), and it fell off within the first 20 hrs. I bought the replacement parts (a C clip, bolt and nut hold it on at the bottom - if I remember correctly, you adjust the bolt within the rack, and the rod attaches to the end of the bolt with the C clip). I put it back on, and then I looked at it for a couple of minutes. I took it off, and I put it in storage.
I realized that I never looked at the thing; I always looked at the top flat edge of the bucket (very visible with the LX). It also seemed to be a bit vulnerable. I believe I knocked mine off scooping gravel from a large pile. So far, I have scooped/moved over 70 tons of gravel, and I have not missed it when digging, grappling or other FEL activities.

Very helpful info, thank you. I’ll have to learn how to search parts now, looks to be very handy. I’m used to that for my vehicles, but still relatively new to tractors.

Though it wouldn't be "correct", I'll bet a common 3/8 inch carriage bolt, flat washer and self locking nut would do exactly the same thing for about a quarter of the cost, and not fall off.
You can get a higher grade carriage bolt IF you wanted one. I believe that they are available in grade 5 and grade 8. Regular carriage bolts are grade 2, which is sufficient for what you are using it for.
After I posted, I thought that perhaps a carriage bolt thru the slotted piece, then a flat washer, your rod, another flat washer followed by a locking nut would give you a smoother slide along the slot.
