I got two seldom used, fan assisted wall mount 5000W heaters from my brother. He used them occasionally for about two years and then had a heat pump added to his detached garage. They were new when he installed them. I want to put them in my two car garage but have never wired a 220V switch. I'm fine with the breaker, running the wires and wiring the plugs. The heaters have 4 prong cords on them. The thermostats are internal and controlled by a knob on the rear. I need to know if i need two 30A breakers and two separate 10/3 feeds or can I feed them both from one switch. Also need some info on the switch(es).

Can’t answer the question without knowing how the heaters are wired. Is there 2 seperate heating elements that can be operated separately? That may explain the extra wires. Anyway the whole shebang can be operated using a switch just like your double breaker.
Pictures of the cord ends and inside the wiring compartment? I don't get the 4-prong plug. From the little bit of info I saw, it should be a single 240V circuit with a pair of hots from a 2-pole breaker plus a ground.
Extra ground. My last new dryer had the same set up. I would post a pic, but my new phone and I are having communication issues.

You will need 2 separate 30 amp circuits. Each will have a double pole 30 amp breaker - in your case with 4 wires, you will have a neutral and a ground. Much like a new dryer.
Here is a little more info - but it shows 3 wires,
Your plug will typically have the red where the white is in the above diagram..... and the white will be the neutral,,,, green the ground.
Open the back panel and see what left to feed the cord.
O - and yes 10-3 wg is a must.

85Hokie hit the nail on the head. You are going to need a 2pole 30amp breaker and 10/3 wire with ground for each heater. Breakers and fuses are typically designed to be loaded at 80% for continuous duty. A single 5000 watt heater will draw approximately 20.8 amps at 240 volts. Hopefully this helps answer your questions a bit.

Why use a switch when you all ready have a 4 wire plug, just use a 4 wire outlet. read the data plate for minimum circuit size.
