Greetings,
I have found a perfect fit, drop in screen for the BX23S fuel tank. It is a Zell cold brew iced coffee tea filter for 32oz wide mouth mason jars. I purchased mine here; Cold Brew Coffee Maker, Iced Coffee & Tea Maker Infuser for Mason Jars | Durable Fine Mesh Stainless Steel Coffee Maker Filter (Stainless Steel - Tapered, For 32 oz Wide Mouth Mason Jars) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JGW7NJZ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_RJG87W589F2H6C3KV8F4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I did not use the included silicone gasket. I also do not know what else it might fit.

Cheers.

There was another thread where someone found the same solution here at OTT in the not too distant past...Glad it works well for you too.

Nothing beats creative thinking!

Edit: Here is the link to that thread:

Good for you. I purchased a large filter with screen for my use as this also helps in not spilling any fuel. Have also heard using a kitchen sink basket screen works also. Regardless of what is used, just important to use something to filter your fuel. Preventative measures usually prevent grief down the road.

Thanks for posting another option/brand might all be the same manufacturer but these posts keep reminding me I should get one.

I bought the one that was recommended in the other thread, and there is no way short of hammering it into the filler neck on my BX23S that it is going to fit. This one looks like it might be a better choice since it is tapered at the bottom.

I checked the fuel tank Part No. for the BX23s and it is the same as in the Bx1880. So I just ordered this one that I had my eye on for a while:

Ebay Filter

Update: All the BX80's use the same tank (K2581-54720)

Hmmm. Didn't find it on Amazon but I found one that looks very similar. 304 stainless, too. I think I'll give it a try on my BX-25D.

This one fits 24 oz and up mason jars, so it's likely not as deep as the 32 oz size.
This is the one that was recommended in the previous post, and I ordered one, however, it just doesn't fit. When I mentioned this in that post, I was told that you have to fiddle with it, and it will eventually dropdown. Problem is that if it is difficult to get it in, then how difficult will it be if you need to get it out sometime in the future? I haven't gone back and tried it again, since it has been so cold that I spend as little time outside as I have to. My old bones don't like the cold.

This one is shorter than any I have seen in previous post. Is this 24oz size the one you purchased? I think most the others are 32oz or larger in length.

Is there differences in our tanks? BX23S, BX25D and BX2680

BX23S is the newest 80 series. I believe the BX25D is the prior 70 series. Tanks are more than likely the same.
