Smoke comes out of it when I try to start it. Can the motor be bought for it. Or can it be rebuilt cheaper. Is there a cheaper starter?
Kubota does offer remanufactured starters that are significantly less money. Kubota also offers the parts to rebuild it, or take your starter to a repair shopSmoke comes out of it when I try to start it. Can the motor be bought for it. Or can it be rebuilt cheaper.
Thanks for all the help. All the other starters for the Kubota's tractors cost less than $200.00 dollars what makes this one special.Kubota does offer remanufactured starters that are significantly less money. Kubota also offers the parts to rebuild it, or take your starter to a repair shop
We have had great luck with the reman parts, I do not recall of any failure to date. Manly we have sold starters and injection pumps.call a kubota enginerd and ask them why these cost more
probably a vendor deal (maybe specific to this engine/tractor, made by most likely Denso). They are high quality starters. I've never heard of one fail on a 3301 or 3901 until this thread
sure it's the starter and not something else ? A seized or frozen engine can also destroy a starter.
@whitetiger have you had much luck with the Kubota reman stuff? I didn't, and we quit selling them, period, because of quality concerns.
I have done business with DB Electric for aftermarket starters. . Their prices are reasonable, and they have taken care of any problems without a lot of BS. Here is the link.
