We are still forecast to be close to 70° tomorrow and Thursday before dropping to and below freezing Friday and then be close to freezing every day next week. 😲

Was 62 yesterday. We are currently 30 and sleet/freezing rain. Supposed to turn to snow later and they guess around a foot is what we are to get by the end of the storm on Thursday.

Snow has started. So far it’s some light fluffy stuff. Going to have to pull my flat deck out and clear it off from the last storm we got. Might leave it in my shelter till this storm is done. I like to leave both trailers accessible all the time just in case I need them.

I'm in central KY and we're supposed to get .25" - .75" of ice :( At least I have my Wickeder 55 grapple if we loose a lot of trees.

Well. I guess that post was too early. Hardly any on the ground. Heard about 45min W it’s coming down pretty crazy.

We had a brief storm last night with high winds and maybe a little sleet/snow. Power was out for a little over an hour. -16°F this morning and supposed to drop to -36° F by tomorrow morning. Perfect for an outdoor barbeque as there won't be too many bugs flying around.

Calling for freezing rain here starting around midnight.

Got the service truck parked in the driveway with a full tank of diesel. Truck has a 5kw generator that runs off the trucks pto. Found the space heaters. So between that and the grill, we got heat and hot food if needed 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂

They are already telling people to stay home tomorrow. Boss has us on a wait and see about whether we will work tomorrow or not.

Daren - - you guys be careful. Heard Little Rock mentioned on Weather Channel earlier. Lot of ice possible.
They mentioned us on the national news as well. Supposed to be 6hrs or so of freezing rain.

Part that ticks me off is I picked up a couple bags of rock salt. Forgot to pull it out of the bed of the truck.

Boss called earlier and said to just take the work truck home. So I came home straight from the jobsite. Took Gypsy out for a walk earlier. Got 3/4 of the way through the walk when I remembered the salt was still in little rock 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Daren - - -That sucks.

Our driveway is gravel. Salt doesn't work.

I fill 5 gallon buckets with sand at local DPW. 1 pail is plenty for one-time.

Filled one yesterday. We're supposed to below zero again Friday night....betting that bucket will be frozen solid Saturday morning..... when I need it...

About as useful as your salt bag in the other truck.....:(

Just pulled up weather bug and checked the hourly forecast.

Not sure what to make of it. One hour it's showing snow. Next hour it's showing rain. 🤔🤔🤔🤔 With the temperature actually being higher when they are calling for snow. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

I think the take away, is it's supposed to be crap tomorrow.

We are forecast to be on the fringe with only a sample of 'Winter mix'. We are looking for a high of 68° at 9:00 in the morning and dropping to 34° by midnight. 30° at 7:00 Friday morning but the moisture should be gone by then. 26° Saturday morning so I will keep a flicker going in the insert. 🔥

Tomorrow is supposed to be 28° and 23°. Friday is 35° and 14°. And a balmy 40° on Saturday.

Guy that was supposed to do some blasting at a quarry I was at earlier today canceled. Said he couldn't make it do to the roads. Dude was coming from Springfield MO which is about a 4hr drive north of us.

The storms taking about 14hrs to reach us.

Got an inch of ice on the ground so far. You could actually get traction in it at 5am when I walked the pooch. Since the temperature dropped, it's a solid sheet.

Lots of sleet. Thankfully the freezing rain bypassed us. So not much chance of a power outage.

Boss called a late opening of 9am. Then just canceled work for today. So I got a free day off. 👍👍👍👍

Time to put the pj's back on and get comfy for the day.

So far all of the forecast and weather models show that we will completely miss the nasty and only get some high 20° and low 30°'s.

I did buy the fixin's for a Pot-O-Chili. Crapper, ground beef $5 per pound. 😲

Cleared the driveway. Snow still coming down, warning has been extended till 6Pm with additional 1-3 inches. Measured 11 inches so far, but lots of drifts. Spots where you can see grass and spots that are over 3 ft of snow.

Had to run in to the big city Columbus today. They are saying rain, ice and the up to 4” snow. I live 60 miles northwest of town so who knows what we end up with. Gonna pick up some ice melt to go with the bags of sand I have in the garage. Not taking a fall on the ice like I did last year
Howdy neighbor. It’s windy over here next to Mad River. I suspect the wind may be problematic over night. Have fun with the townies in this.

No issue getting out of town Tuesday. Today would be another story. Drifting good and visibility pretty poor. Next to Mad River? I usually pop through Zanesfield on my way in to Bellefontaine. We are east of West Mansfield

That’s richochet range. I’m up on top of the ridge close to Wengers Market. When you get down here to Gods’s country I am almost to the top of the hill. Be careful.

Oh yeah. I know Wengers well. I’ll have to keep an eye out for your Orange when I head up the hill.
