If you need parts for that engine Kawasaki has them. Kubota quit inventorying those parts a few years back. That water cooled engine was offered in other lawn equipment, like John Deere and still available.

The biggest problem with that model engine was the camshaft giving up. It was made of a fiber material. New ones are steel.

Yea I’m getting way better results for Kawasaki parts that way!

when I worked at the kubota dealer we got kawasaki parts from the john deere dealer. Easier, and quicker than getting them from Kawasaki. The thing is, we HAD to know if the engine model used on Deere was the same as the Kubota. There were a few differences, usually service parts (filters, etc) are the same.

Used to buy AM107423's by the case, from Deere. Same filter as a 49065-2071 at the time, it's changed since then. Cheaper from Deere.

I’ve got it running but now I need a new deck pulley and neither the model 1860g or the Kawasaki engine provide good results. Any thoughts?
