What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I hauled yet another bucketful of topsoil for the base of some new chicken brood pens I am setting up in my barn. Then I hauled a load of mulch and put some on top of the dirt as litter and dumped the rest near a new persimmon sapling I planted in the fall.

Tried to pull down a seemingly rotten 70' cherry tree down with a chain. Tractor wanted to do a regen. The tree was solid in the middle and I messed up some of the yard. Got the chain tight at point of tire spinout, then had to saw it down. Cut it up in ~5' sections and hauled it away in the FEL. No issues with regen except wife thought I was nuts for running the tractor that fast.
Fixed the yard mostly with a steel rake.

Cleaning up more trash I found on our property. This in an old pond. It's mostly drained by still like quicksand. Almost fell in with the chain. Don't want to bring the tractor closer to get the rest. Easy work for the grapple .

It's amazing how people trash their properties. At least keep it to one trash pile and keep the concrete and rebar out of the pond.

Blue skies and 70 degrees. Cool evenings. Only thing is it's bone dry so I can't burn the mountain of deadwood I'm accumulating from my grapple. I'll take the good weather though. I'm sure next month it will be 10 degrees.

Not long ago I put a soft cab on my BX23S! Yesterday I installed Heat!

We spent the holiday week up at the property cleaning, raking and burning leaves and a couple of downed trees.
The leaves around the house are the hardest to deal with. We were raking them on to a tarp, then dragging the tarp to the burn pile. This Fall we upped our game a bit by purchasing a "bagster"....basically a big bin made from heavy nylon with handles. We would load the bag, pick it up with the tractor, haul it down to the burn pile and dump it out....worked like a charm!
With a mix of oaks and pines, the leaves and acorns are out of control...

Used the forks to put the grapple in the corner of the garage and brought the blower in to install the deflector kit.

I have the Kubota manual grease gun that I bought from the Dealer when I picked up my tractor. Absolutely dread replacing the cartridge. Almost impossible to get the old one out and get the new one all the way in. The little silver lever at the bottom never seems to work right. But when it's done the gun is fine and I haven't felt the need to get a battery operated one yet.

Trust me!
You will not remember how you did without it, once you own a battery powered DeWalt or Milwaukee grease gun.

Got the chains and box blade on for future snow fighting and used both K's for some wood splitting/hauling

Put 2.5 hours on the BX pulling the lawn sweeper around the yard picking up leaves and about a billion seed pods from the d@#n honey locust trees in the yard. I swear I'm going to cut those things down one of the days.

Dragged my Vermeer chipper around chipping all the pines that have taken hold in the past 10 years. Yesterday that chipper was running like a champ, and today, I ran it out of gas not realizing that the chipper was thirsty. Put fuel back into the chipper, and now the carburetor must have sucked up something that it doesn't like because it will only run with the choke almost fully closed. Will have to dig into it later when the weather warms up, because it was freezing outside this late afternoon. Sorry, no pictures, because I was busy taking it apart attempting to fix it. Did find a giant mouse nest surrounding the cylinder that I didn't see any evidence of until I had all the shrouding apart.

Dusty pull the bowl off the bottom of the carb and give it a good cleaning. Pull the feed hose to the carb and blow through it, Probably something lodged in the needle and seat.

Ditto....I bought one of the 18volt Ryobi ones at Home Depot last year and it is one sweet tool.
