Got a TG1860 that has been sitting for years. Unsure how long or any history.

Put in a new battery, checked the oil, added diesel, checked fuses. Turned the key and waited for glow plugs, with brake pressed turned key and nothing.
Doesn't even start to crank or anything just a light clunk noise.

What next should I check? Trying to troubleshoot as much as I can before bringing it to someone for repairs.

Appreciate the help in advance!

light clunk noise.
check battery cables would be my first guess. If you have a volt meter take one lead and put it on the positive battery cable end and the other lead at the starter where the battery cable connects, try to crank it and see if there is any voltage measured. Same on the negative side, one lead on the negative battery post and one lead on the frame ground. If over .5 volts you have a cable issue.
