Been trying to finish the stand for the back blade, but the guys in the paint shop are holding me up, big time….

The paint shop guys are me, myself, and I….talk about 3 Stooges….
I’m on a deadline, so I fired two of the guys from the project.

Me and myself had to leave the property…..🤔

I put the friggin thing together with wet paint… those guys couldn’t get it done in time…🤓

They didn’t do a very good job on the paint, either. Geez, they needed to go….

I was happy with the project; me and myself said they’d be back after breakfast….😀

Put the loader on. Took the (pin on) forks off, put the (pin on) bucket on. Took the mower off. Flipped the mower, took the blades off and sharpened. Replaced blades. Straightened the bent bit of the deck where I hit a rock. Greased deck and loader. Replaced grease zerk on the mower that was missing, but thread didn't quite match. Enough to grease it, but not enough to stay there, will need a new one.

Took a bucket of dirt to the neighbour, filled side of shared driveway so water wouldn't pond, put grass seed in, talked about things whilst we did so.

Put mower deck back on, put forks in bucket, put tractor away. Sharpened chainsaw, added chain oil, added fuel. Spread grass seed in areas of the lawn that I got too annoyed about and used roundup to kill weeds....now have bare patches. Put black shade cloth over top - areas I did that to 2 weeks ago germinated brilliantly, areas I didn't the birds ate the seed or it was cold or it dried out, and didn't germinate well.

Overall a relatively successful day. Most important part.....new quick attach from Messicks arrived in Oregon, and reshipped to NZ. The first one shipped somehow Fedex lost (as April from Messicks said - it's a large hunk of bright orange steel, how do you lose it - it's not like it's a small box you could mislay), Messicks got me another and shipped it. Looked like Fedex had lost that one too for a while, but it suddenly turned up today. 15-20 minutes every time I swap the forks and bucket, that'll be down to about 1 minute. Very excited. Should arrive in NZ 1 November.

Yesterday evening mowed off site wearing coveralls , winter coat , gloves and hat. Last mow of the season over there , finished mowing last hr. with headlights and ROPS light bar :)

Honestly the factory lights are decent with loader off. Light bar really helped :)

NHS, I changed out my dynamo and did an alternator upgrade myself. But I found out that apparently the tractor's hour meter runs off of the original dynamo's ac output. Hence, with the alternator installed the hourmeter didn't work and the charge indicator light stayed on. Since my B2650 was still under warranty at the time I put the dynamo back in place. I have a 12vdc hour meter to install when I re visit the alternator install. The WSM electrical schematic leaves a little to be desired regarding the factory hour meter hookup.
Probably to prevent tampering with?
Did you find a work around for your alternator upgrade regarding the hourmeter and charge indicator? Thanks!
My hour meter works and I have checked it against the clock, it is pretty accurate.

I bought the "upgrade kit" out of the whole goods catalog and it had a few additional items in it.

I know it bypassed the Voltage Regulator and mentioned something about the charge light staying on if not done.

This video covers the kit I used,

Tried to figure out if I need a new battery or not.
Have the B2150HST and had to jump start it yesterday after it sitting unused most of the summer then let it run for about 30 minutes or so. Started up ok an hour later.
Today I cleaned up the battery terminals and connectors and it "almost" but not quite started. Jumped it again today and let it run nearly 60 minutes.
Started a search for a replacement battery which feels most likely at this point. The current battery is a Deka 524FMF.

BTW, this is my first post here....
Well, it looks like I may not need a battery after all. It seems to have woken up and is staying strong since I've been starting it up and letting it run for 10-15 minutes every 2-3 days.
Compared with most of you all I hardly get to use my Kubota except to cut a 2 acre field with the brush hog attachment once a year, and clear the driveway of snow with the rear blade attachment. and every blue moon to do some other work on the property. And I only need the snow removal anywhere between 3 and a dozen times a winter depending. Have only put about 110 hours on it in 7 years now.

Mower coming off, oil change, and my removable LED’s on. May mount the snowblower after I service it.

Will just leave chains to do.

Just an aside and not Kubota, but Minneapolis Moline. A friend makes these for Steiner Tractor Parts. Redneck Gas gauge.

He has templates for many old, more popular makes and models. He’s sold 1,000’s to Steiner. Guys don’t use them…more for decoration

Saw my Moline parked in the driveway, and asked that I measure the gas tank so he could make some.

Figured Steiner won’t be interested since numbers are small, but I got the first 2. There is a pretty active national MM Club.

One will go to my Dad…..

We fixed a gate to the field. After that we started clearing more brush and working on drainage ditch trying to beat the rain.

I didn't get a good before picture, but if you look to the left in the picture below you can see what we were dealing with. (this picture was from last year hence the soybeans and not the corn)

This is the area after about four hours of two tractors clearing the area. Still have some more work to do, but we got a lot of brush and trees moved to the burn pile.

Took the loader off for the umpthient time. Washed and waxed her for winter. Went to put loader back on and fought it for over an hour 😬. Couldn’t get it to drop in the cradle on one side no matter how many times I repositioned. Finally, decided to measure the boom cylinders on both sides - over 2” difference. Then I got to looking around and saw where I caught one side when backing out. Equaled the cylinders and “bingo” went together as before. Another lesson learned 🤔

Started the BX up and let it warm up for 15 minutes at high idle, backed it into the shop and got started. Changed the oil and filter, the air filter was pretty dirty, so I changed it too. Only spilled about a cup of oil on the floor, no oil change is complete without spilled oil and Oil Dri. Checked the front axle oil, trans/hydro fluid, fan belt and coolant reservoir. Fuel filters were new in the spring, so I didn't change them. Checked the air in the tires, pulled the radiator screen, blew it and the radiator out, lots of grass and crap in it. Finally, greased the FEL and MMM.
Ready for some snow pushing this winter or lawn mowing in the spring.

I got a nice white tail yesterday afternoon on my property (opening day of general rifle) and got him back to the house using the bucket. It's cheating for some but there you go. This guy is about as big as I've seen up here with a fair amount of fat on him.

Hooked up the newly acquired ballast box for some measurements for Brian at FitRite. Hosed it off and cracked a beer.

Didn't look like a big deer in the first photo but the third photo makes your tractor look small!!!
Yeah, he's a good size for up here and the 72" bucket helps to show that. I was able to get a photo of him through the scope when he was bedded down.

Talking of big, that ballast box is huge! You did really well to find those two and for such a good price. If you were nearer I'd buy the other one from you.

Are you sourcing the "top-n-tilt" from FitRite?
