Nothing....friggin' rain.....

We're much better off than many places, but I think I saw it's rained 14 of last 16 days, or something like that....geez...

For you folks getting flooding, our hearts go out to you....

Pulled a blow down stump up back, harrowed the garden. First use of it since we got snow back in late Oct. Just dry even now to do some things.

Finished rebuilding the cylinders on the backhoe and used it to rip up some concrete. Found a hairline crack in a weld on the boom, ground it out and rewelded it, then painted it. Better than new!

Removed previous owner's aftermarket seat and installed a new one from Rural King. $117.

Forgot the old seat had spring suspension. New seat is better seat with softer cushion and adjustable with armrests... but rides rougher... didn't think about that.

Wife did all the tractor work dropped all the Poplar trees on side yard for controlled removal.
.

That’s the way to deal with them. They’re notorious for snapping off like that.

Well I didn't do it today it was last weeks project. Making the slope on the front of the property mowable. It was pretty much straight up and down and required a weed beater to maintain, not anymore.

The workers, the before and after.

I finally hooked up the flail mower and ran it in the rain/dark for a few mins to see what it would do. From what I could tell, it did a nice job on the section of grass I cut even with the hammers installed. Now, hope it dries out some so I can really put it to use.

Oh, and added some nice tie down hooks to the frame. I got two of these for $8/per at harbor freight. Best part is...NO DRILLING! The holes lined up perfectly with existing holes on the frame! and no, I didn't plan that....it just happened!

Gotta love when things work out like that dirtydeed.

I'm getting more and more interested in going flail mower if I ever replace my tractor.
