Attaching LA535 Loader with a Toothbar

I know many of you never remove your loaders but for those who do, and also have a toothbar, do you need to remove the toothbar to reattach the loader? For the life of me, I can't get it to drop into the bracket with the toothbar on. Both the tractor and loader are in my garage with a concrete floor where I have attached the loader prior to the toothbar without a problem.

I put my Piranha Tooth Bar on within a year of getting tractor 8 years ago.

No issue......what's causing the grief to connect? Alignment, height, other?

I know your LX connects differently than my older BX....just trying to figure out why/how the TB would interfere....

Only thing I can think of is the geometry change. Without it the loader used to align properly when dumping the bucket and drop into the bracket. Now at the point where it used to drop in it comes close but doesn't seat and then dumping the bucket further lifts the loader out of the bracket.

In the picture it looks like the bracket on the FEL needs to rotate a bit more. Try moving the joystick as though you are raising the bucket and I'll bet it drops in.

I agree with Chim....try a very slight pull on the 'stick....

The TB has extended your cutting edge a couple/few inches. I think you have your FEL on/off quite often. Just wondering if you need to adjust for that, and maybe not extend the curl cylinder as much, as you've rocked the rear mount enough to have to compensate for it....if that makes any sense..

Could you run the tractor up on a couple of boards to see if that works?

Perhaps a piece of plywood or 1x along the back side of the bucket on the floor next time you need to disconnect it would help offset the extra dimension up front for the tooth bar?

Haha somehow the tires are the cleanest things on the tractor currently. She could definitely use a bath!

I have same tractor, loader and toothbar. It is doable without any additional plywood etc, you just have to learn the different angles for the dump and not care if you scar the concrete a little with the bar teeth. All the best!

Congrats and thank you! R14's are great on turf as long as it's not soaked and you keep the weight down. I needed to mow with the loader and bucket on last week and I spun the rear tires a couple times and that doesn't normally happen with the loader off
