I have a TG 1860 diesel. When ignition switch is turned to the off position the engine continues to run. Any thoughts on how to fix?
What spark plug???I guess the days of sticking something metal to the spark plug like pliers or a screw driver are long gone...
My L3650 had both the solenoid and the manual lever. It was nice to have that manual back up. Especially since that tractor went through three solenoids. My B7500 may not be the biggest or most hp or fancy but to shut the fuel I just pull a lever, no solenoids or timers or relays. Just a simple machine. OK i have on occasion forgot to push the lever back in and cannot figure why the little bugger will not start.
I have a rtv1140cpx that runs awY after startingIf the solenoid is broken not working just press the throttle lever on engine with finger to the rear most point. The lever springs to an idle spot so 1/4” past it is the kill.
Start with the basics? Whats the oil level? Being it had gas in it was it cranked on long enough without starting to push enough past the rings to overfill crankcase and now its pulling oil thru the vent to make it runaway? Gas will wash the cylinders and not let the rings seal.Kubota rtv 1140 cpx
Engine runs away after startup
Have to cut off the air supply for it to shut down.
Machine had some gasoline in the system but i flashed it out and restarted it.
Ran ik for a few minutes but started to run away again and i niticed it not hitting in one injector now.
Injector pump?
yup and if you roll the tractor over, or if you fall off, it keeps going. Diesel will theoretically run upside down right side up sideways, etc--as long as it can get air it will run. At least until the oil film is burned off of the cylinders and crankshaft and the engine seizes. That typically on the D722 engine, takes 30-45 minutes based on experience. My B7500 may not be the biggest or most hp or fancy but to shut the fuel I just pull a lever, no solenoids or timers or relays. Runaway concern will only happen with an uncontrolled fuel source.
You missed a thread from 2013 was revived, and yes sounds like 2 different issues.Seems like this thread is chasing 2 issues maybe from 2 different people? One is a "runaway" the other "can't shut off". Or am I missing something here?
